Put enough of these together with some small bass for a fry. All the females had eggs. Be good with some taters and onions

Headed out to one of three new water holes I gained access to real soon. Lunch is on the grill and fishing gear is loaded up.

No luck at the new spot. My wife wasn't out of the truck 2 minutes and got 5 ticks on her. We ended up picking 4 more off her later. We fished for about an hour with no bites. Then a water moccasin swam directly in front of her and she was done. We went back to the other fishing hole and caught more bass. We only kept two.

Motor issues kept me off the water this weekend. Decided to sneak down to Salt Creek to see what conditions were.
Much lower and slower since my last trip but caught a longer for bait and turned her into an 8 pound channel. Was really hoping for a flathead but it was fun.

Slow start yesterday, three of us fished from 8:00 til noon and didn’t have a keeper. Finally found them, caught 87 keepers in the next 3 hours.

Cook lake south of Plymouth. The beds were empty, the cold the last few days must have moved them off. We found these in 15 ft. of water around 7 ft. deep.
