Hit Brookville yesterday. Had quite the adventure with the storms and all. Once the storms passed, we were able to get on a few. Took home 14 crappie between 10.5 and 12 inches and 2 big channel cats. Also had a nice walleye on and caught a smallmouth

Hit a lake here in SW Ohio today with the kids. Minnows under bobbers and baby bass colored grubs resulted in 53 crappies coming home for a swim in the grease. All fish between 9.5 and 12.5 inches. Caught between 125 and 150. The next week to 10 days around here will be crazy.
Side note: all the carcasses were buried between the tomatoes for fertilizer.

I went to the pond yesterday morning and had three bass and two bluegill in the basket before the downpours started. They got a free pass. I wasn't in the mood to clean five fish.
Went back this morning with a neighbor. We fished for about two hours and brought home 10 big bluegill. We caught 32, but most were pregnant females and were released. We didn't catch any bass, which is very odd for this pond.

Dad would have me bury fish next to his tomatoes. He had me keep every carp for the garden too.

Weve been here 12 years and its gotten way better, but still not great. All fish remains, chicken manure, compost, horse manure, and grass/leaves gets tilled in or buried.

Well, not catching, but stocking. Treetop should have some nice eating sized Yellow Perch in a year and they will only get bigger every year after that. It was good meeting you!!!

Caught a few in all the rain. Most still bedded up. Letting them go. Slip bobber with red worms in the shallows.

Just been nailing the redears in my pond. Light tackle for more fun. All the geese that have nests around pond have hatched. You waterfowl hunter can thank me in the fall. Lol.
