Actually I give more walleye away then anything else, we much prefer the panfish for eating. I give most of my fish to friends, land owners. My freezer is completely void of fish, my brother has a gallon of crappie and gills for next weekends fish fry. We use a heaping gallon ice cream container at each of our fry's.

Went to a different farm pond this morning with my oldest daughter. Not as many, but way better quality fish than where I went yesterday. We didn't get out until about 9:00 because, like an idiot, I believed the weather people and went grocery shopping instead of being at the pond at daylight. We fished for two hours and kept eight. We caught at least 25,but released the obvious females and small ones. The wind chased me off for the second day in a row.

No 12 inchers tonight but a lot of 10 to 11 inch redears. Red worms on the bottom or slip bobber close to bottom. Still spawning.

Went to a farm pond this morning after grocery shopping. By the way, Meijer has very good red worms. I started at 9:30 and had 13 fish cleaned and in the refrigerator before noon. I kept 10 bluegill and three bass. I threw the biggest ones back along with any that obviously had eggs. I caught several bluegill that it would have been a shame to put a knife into. I also released three very nice bass. I ran out of bait right when the wind got unbearable.
I started somewhat managing (with some great advice from esshup) this pond about three years ago. Before, all one could catch was what seemed to be the same 12" bass over and over. I thinned out the bass and added bluegill, hybrids, red ear, and feeder minnows. The bass are now noticeably larger and the bluegill are getting better and better. I haven't caught any red ears, but a neighbor has and said they are almost keeper size. Thanks Scott!

Y'all are tearing up the water here lately. I haven't had the opportunity to go again ( been 1 time this year) but I'm really enjoying the reading. Y'all keep up the good job 👊 and keep posting.
