Heard today border closed till May 28th looks like my week over the three day weekend just got moved I’m starting to go into withdrawals My last ice fishing trip got scratched than the opener on the 15th of May looked slim now this hopefully I’ll make the 4th or I’m going to be real hard to live and work with. And most years the gas is a 75 to 100 a tank filled up today for 42 bucks could of made to my cabin and back for half the cost

I am on a crossbow forum from Canada. Sounds like they are crazy strict on some guidelines during this crisis.

I visit now more than participate. Like so many forums, they are very biased, one sided, etc. I read more for the hunting stories then tech stuff. I am pretty sure I know all I need with a recurve xbow. 😉

Lot better action today at a local pond. My daughter was about to give up on fishing with the action for her being nothing the last few outings. She ended up with 12 bluegills and we brought home these 5 channel cats and let 3 others go. Not bad for an under 2 hour trip. Needless to say she once again enjoys fishing again. Nice little mess there. Thems the best eating right there IMO of course.

Hot brookville 3 days this week. Haven't killed them but we've taken fish home each day. Biggest have been 14" white crappie, 19" channel cat, and a 15-16" whitebass. Drifting or long lining jigs and jigs with minnows.

Hit the Mississinewa River just downstream from the reservoir. About 40 crappie and 2 small walleye in 2 and a half hours. Not huge ones but even small crappie are fun on light tackle.

Been fishing a local lake here in Ohio this week. All crappie we've caught have been between 10.5" and 14". Caught 3 huge gills yesterday and a 17.75" saugeye. Weather needs to stabilize.

Went to a textbook farm pond today with my best friend from (we are 46) pre-school. Cleaned 75 with a mix of crappie, red ear, bass, and bluegill. Started at 7:00 and quit at a little after noon when the wind got untolerable. Crickets were the overwhelming favorite. Some weren't keepers by most standards, but we are the only ones that fish the pond and it needs to be fished way more than we can even think about.
