Well it is better than work. 2 mallards so far. Should be done but I like extending the pain. Waiting for the lone drakes to drop in and maybe a spec or 2. Lots in the area right noq

Best of luck! Went out Saturday and Sunday morning but no luck in the NW. Saw a few but not as many as I hoped.

Endangered species alert! Much larger and whiter than a sandhill I have heard they serve well with Spotted Owl gravy.

Her ya go Indiana Division of Fish and Wildlife 1 hr ยท The Division of Fish & Wildlife recently partnered with the International Crane Foundation to release a juvenile whooping crane at Goose Pond Fish & Wildlife Area (FWA). Whooping cranes are a federally endangered species on the road to recovery after near extinction. With 5,000 acres of wetland habitat restored through the Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP/WRE), Goose Pond FWA provides an important rest stop for whooping cranes during their migrations between Wisconsin and Alabama. Watch the video here: youtu.be/zHHrd7-bEmQ. Learn more about whooping cranes at wildlife.IN.gov/3645.htm MAYBE IN A COUPLE YEARS WE'LL BE ABLE TO START HUNTING THEM AS A PUT AND TAKE BIRD.

Went out yesterday and managed to scratch out 2 greenheads. On my walk in I kicked up a flock of a dozen or so, probably the same flock I scouted on Saturday. I should have gotten 4 but whiffed on a couple easy shots. Still had some fun in some ducky weather.

My son and a couple buddies found some geese. We will see how the morning goes. Off to bed for a few hours sleep.
