There are plenty of geese up here but there are still only a few ducks. Ice is melting hopefully they might spread out with these next few days of warm weather, I too will be out on Sunday.

I saw approx. 45-60 ducks and only about 20 geese. Had a couple ducks work me but no takers today. It was great to be out on a spring like day like today.

Not as good as hornzilla, but the Remington gave a lil speech in LaPorte before heading to a final deer stand! And then a few long pauses. And then she spoke some more. Fairly short and abbreviated speech, it was. Another long pause. Another quick retort. And the Conclusion of the speech!

Well the second day in the honey hole wasnt as good. Only a single goose wanted to play the game. And his game was over quickly with a ride home in the boat. Was still a wonderful day with 3 generations hunting together with another father son team and 2 additional friends. Now a short nap before our first Christmas get together this evening. Merry Christmas to all. Enjoy your family the next few days. Life is way to short. And dont forget the reason for the season.

Took the little ladies out this eve and taught them how to set a spread. Their hard work paid off when the first flock came out and landed in the hole. Took two shots and three birds fell.

And a goose brought jewelry from Thunder Bay for us. Who won the "FLIP"? He cut around behind us. My son was the only one that shot at him. Needless to say he wouldn't "flip" for it. Lol

What a morning. What a muddy mess. Hunting a back water hole. What a mixed bag. 4 Canada geese, 1 speck, 2 green heads, 1 black duck, 1 pintail.

Hunted this morning. As we were setting up decoys in the field we had birds flying in. No other movement until about 830 and then it was non stop until about 10. Finished with 4 geese. Really slowed down once the clouds moved out. Probably seen 400 geese and maybe 30 ducks

Nice little hunt this morning on my birthday with a few friends. Wish my son could have made it. But he was working nights and over slept. Ended up with 2 Pintails, 4 greenheads, and a gadwall. Nice little hunt. Now a nap before a Birthday dinner. Life is good.
