John the 345 fps is what is advertised in the Cabela's catalog just like it is with the excaliber. I do know this you can not see the arrow traveling in flight through the scope. Also had to put feathers on the bolts to be able to shoot 100 grain magnus two blade broadheads. Could not control arrow flight with vanes. Also during test to see how it shoots with a string tracker attached made for compound bows, the arrow is traveling to fast for it to properly feed the string and that is with two brand new spools. I had never had any problems with a string tracker not properly feeding out on my compound bow. Also want to talk about penertration. it sinks my arrow all the way to the feathers. My compound shooting 31 inch 2219 shafts and a two bladed broadhead only sinks about 8" into the target. This bow has the longest power stroke on the market. I just wish the trigger was not as stiff as it is.

cday,
I used the "String Tracker" a few times while hunting bear.
It helps if you roll the spool around in your hand to loosen it up before you use it.

cday:
The Barnett rev. xs Only has a 16 in power stroke, the Excal, exomax has a 16-1/2 stroke. which is the longest. I have checked into many stats on these things, but I have yet to see the different drop rates of different bows at different yds. tested with heavier or longer bolts. I am not saying you are wrong at the drop rate, just that I would like to see the test. My books are never closed on this stuff.

John you are correect after checking the spec comparsion on Cabela's I seen the excaliber had a longer power stroke, my mistake. I have not shot it in a vise yet so the arrow not dropping could be me with the trigger pull. You know like at 20 yards movement while shooting does not show much change, but at 40 yards it can be drasitic. The trigger is real stiff and could be causing me to lift the bow some while pulling the trigger. This could explain why I ain't seeing any arrow drop on the target. Then again it could be like the trajectory of a bullet It might rise then drop with could also explain why I ain't seeing much drop between 20 yards and 40 yards.
I don't know yet I have been mainly working on quieting it down and reducing vibration/shock. I think I have all the add ons I want so now it is time to focus on pin point accurate.

Remember I'm not here to prove you wrong. I like to know lot's of things when it comes to Xbows. And I am truly curious as to the correct drop rate at those yardages. The only true way to find out is to prove this to yourself , then you can say to everyone" this is the facts.' I did lots of tests on fletching and feathers, plastic vanes, 4 in fletch, 5 in fletch, Off-set fletch etc. But drop rates of different Xbows, no. Especially with heavier bolts than 425 gr. Please keep me informed.

And just remember all, each Xbow like V-bows shoot different..so the results from the testing from one xbow too the next will differ. However the results should be for reference's only.

garyl: I was wondering when you would join in. Agreed, it's only for reference and the matter of just knowing for future post topics, and different forums discussions. john

Is there some way to accurately compile some bolt drop data since there seems to be a dearth of it ? Perhaps a spread of popular , high end , and low end crossbows and bolts in a head to head meet to establish a responsible baseline . It could be conducted along similar lines to a bow or broadhead test . Whatta ya think ? This could even be the starting point for a get together , like a trapper's rendevouz if the cards were played right ...

I agree 100%. For one person to do this is impossible. And I've been waiting and checking and no tests like this I can find. Garyl tried to get a bunch of us together before, but it is very hard. To have this type of info on many different bolts and Xbows would be excellent.

I run all Excalibur tackle ... Have had every model at one time or another . My current bow is a tuned down Exomax . Here is a picture of my old retired Relayer that a local Excalibur forum member hand painted for me to commemorate the largest buck I ever harvested with it . He painted the picture of the head mount of that buck on the stock. I have a custom Exomag in pristine condition , it has a gold anodized rail , gold powder coated riser , new carved tipped trail camo limbs , with a Mark Henegar solid walnut stock for sale .... $800 . CDN + shipping OBO ( comes with factory peep sights and video ) .... making room for a Tiger Striped Maple custom I am working on , thanks to Digger and Mark H. Any one interested PM me .

Woody : My Relayer was painted by Desertrat out of Guelph ... he is a talented guy ! .... a combination of airbrush and hand painted touch-ups ...
You did a beauty job on yours as well ... It's hard to tell in the picture , did you airbrush it to get the Fall gray camo pattern or hand paint with stencil ?
That Henegar laminate sets it off .... Sweeeeeet !

Thank you guys for letting me join your group all the way from Henderson County, Illinois. I shoot an Ten Point Titan II, with a Bushnell Red Dot Scope. I use an AcuDraw Crank System which was money well spent. I shoot Ten Point Carbons with 100 grain 4 Blade Stinger Broadheads by Magnus.

I made the stock myself for a 175 exocet. Would like one of Marks just wanted to see if I could make my own.I think it turned out rather nice.
