That is similar , but not the same . Mine is a 180# and doesn't have a wire buttstock or pivoting foot claw . The stock is nearly identical to the one on my Ranger .

I am using a "200 lb." Exomag. (Excalibur) With a varizone scope, FFF strings, and three different types of Bolts. This is up from previous models of the same name. Exocet, and Vixen, from which I started.

Shooting a Barnett Revolution XS launching a 22" arrow at sorching speeds. This is my first year with it and have been constantly working with it adding new dodads to quiet it down.

Woody:
I took a hard sided rigid 24 in. lockable tool box and ditched the interior shelves. Then I cut "high density foam" to exact fit, razor cut 4 equal slices in each piece, then glued them in with 2 sided carpet tape on three faces. It will hold 20 Bolts very securely. The bolts can never go within 1-1/2 in. of the sides or bottom. Made by Stanley. Co.

Get my boxes from Canadian Tire store {$15 Can} and $1 worth of foam. by Job Mate. They are a perfect fit for a dozen to 18 bolts Digger

Barnett Revolution a neat xbow, what sorching speed ya getting ? I is doing 331fps from my 200LB Exomag and 345fps from my Max.... I have not had it chronographed yet, supposed to take up to the bow shop once I am done with all of my modifications to see. Shotting at my target my arrow only drops 4 inches from 20 yards to 40 yards and about another 2 inches at 50 yards. So it does not have that much drop. It is rated at 345fps and that is with a heavier arrow than what excaliber shoots, since my arrows are 22" in length minimum.

Rated at "345 fps" with a "heavier longer" 22 in. bolt? Please elaborate. Never heard of this from any Xbow yet. Very curios. Need specs or test results. I like to be up to date informed on this kind of thing. Thanks.

cday, that's kind of hard to belive because an excalibur exomax shooting a 400grain bolt at 350 fps as an arrow drop of 10.8 inches from 20 to forty yards and then drops 10.3" from 40 to 50 yards. Arrow Performance Chart 350 FPS (Figures are assuming a 400 grain arrow @ 350 fps, 20 yards sight-in) Range ( yards) drop (inches) 10 0.75 20 0 30 -3.81 40 -10.81 50 -21.13 www.excaliburcrossbow.com/350fps.html"dw"

Both of mine have nowhere near the zip of an Exomax , and they drop 8" between 20-30 yards with a 20" Easton XX75 with a 100 grain head .

Kevin1:
Thats about the same drop rate, except that from thirty to fifty the drop will increase significantly. I believe that is what Dwhas3 was implying as well. I checked into some stuff that relates to what is trying to be said here, while I was testing fletching and Bolts. A faster bow that is rated with a 350 gr. bolt does not mean it will shoot a heavier 400 gr. bolt faster than another. Example:
1 Bow rated 325 fps with 350 gr. bolt--- 425 gr bolt to 305 fps 1 bow rated 310 fps with 350 gr. bolt--- 425 gr bolt to 305 fps
So I'm not sure what this is saying for sure about drop rates, however it does say that a faster bow at one grain weight isn't faster at a heavier gr weight necessarily. But it sure makes me wonder.
In an exact test: The Martin Slayer- 291 fps -350 gr - 237 fps - 540 gr Darton Tempest - 290 fps -350 gr - 239 fps - 540 gr So with a longer bolt maybe this needs to be looked at. Maybe it does have less drop?
