Worms on the bottom slowly bringing it back. Front pushed them back off the beds last night.

Worms on the bottom slowly bringing it back. Front pushed them back off the beds last night. Worked for us today. Caught plenty more, only 4 that met minimum length. Caught a dozen or so baby crappie as well.

The bass regs read like the deer regs now. Glad I don't keep them.

Well today I got the rowboat out and wanted to throw some Christmas trees in lake for structure. Never got cold enough for safe ice this year. Got the first set in and rowed over to get the other set. Got the spot I wanted stood up to throw out trees and cinder block. Boat went one way I went the other then I was swimming. Lol. Wasn’t cold as I thought. Swam back to shore towing boat. Daughter witnessed whole event. Said she knew if was going in. Lol.
Need a better system of throwing in trees.

It depends on if it's a private or public body of water, but some people drive a piece of pipe into the bottom of the pond and make sure it sticks up out of the water a little bit at full pool. Take nylon rope, tie to base of x-mas tree, make a loop in the other end. Put loop over pipe and the x-mas tree will waterlog and sink in a few months. Every year just add more trees to the pipe.

Didn’t weigh it. Took a measurement and then released it. Trying to break over 13 inch fish this year. Loading up with fat head minnows and throwing out feed.

Beat up the crappie pretty good on Rend lake in southern IL May 8 & 9. Four of us brought home 96 on day one 64 on day two. Fish were all caught in the bushes along shore dropping minnows into the openings with 11' long poles.
