With temps in the high 40's low 50's and plenty of sunshine the last 2 days, the grandson and I spent time down at the pond culling small bluegills. We easily caught and pitched 200 gills out of the pond.
We had a great time!

BUDD; you really know how to throw cold water on my dreams.
I would kill to catch a limit of Trout on a day like that and through the ice.

I’d take perch over eyes and I love me some eyes they is some tasty fish 😋 I have a land owner in Indiana that loves perch as well, I just sent down two gallons of fillets, deer bacon, deer polish and beer brats, snack sticks and summer sausage to them. Another land owner that has let me rabbit hunt for 15 years loves bluegill and crappie scaled, sent him down a couple gallons as well.

Kid calls me yesterday, he went trout fishing on a lake that is 70 miles from my house. He was stuck and asked if I could drive over and pull him out....what he didn't say was he was at the bottom of a HUGE incline that only snowmobiles and wheelers had been using, and that it was about a 200 yard long incline...grrrr. After a hour of jerking, ramming, spinning we got him out and up the hill. We ended up shoveling the beds of our trucks completely full of snow so we could get traction. I think he would have been fine if the 4 wheel drive hadn't went out of his Colorado.

Next time you need more detail for that rescue. Since mine are all adults I would told him to figure it out himself or call one of his friends. They need to fix or figure it out for themselves.
