Got my muley doe tag (B) result today. Chose that over the buck this year as it leaves open the option for a leftover or private land tag other than 2nd season. So it will be deer in the UK in SEP, 2nd season elk/deer in CO, firearms deer in IN and IL and then elk in NM. See if I can fit any else in here or there......

Well, my draws have concluded today with AZ posting results. I'll be hunting whitetails in Kansas, any deer in Montana, and Coues in Arizona this fall.

Doesn't tell you what choice you drew, probably will be next week before official results post.

Colorado leftover list is out, and there are a few good tags on there. I'm thinking about trying to snag a ML deer tag.

I've never really looked into CO regs but so far it seems just as confusing as WY. It started out as a mule deer search then turned into a mule deer/bear combo, then i realized you can't have two tags from the same list. But when I looking into what the lists meant I noticed that a NR bear tag is just a little over $100 so it might transition into a bear hunt.

You can have 2 A tags, just not for the same species.
Colorado does have some strict rules for muzzleloader season (no scopes, no saboted bullets, etc.)
When the tags go on sale tomorrow, the more desirable tags will be gone in seconds. I have a list of 3 hunt codes for elk and 8 hunt codes for deer that I want that currently hold a few leftovers, and it's entirely possible that I don't get a single one of them. A system crash is also a good probability.
More tags will be posted throughout the season as they become available (as people turn them back in). Some really awesome tags make it onto that list every year, and if you regularly check the list you may score one, even the week before season starts if you have that kind of flexibility.

AND you cannot use a scoped muzzleloader in the regular rifle season either. I asked if I could use my .45 cal Savage that was shooting a 195g Barnes bullet at 2900 fps. Nope.

How does it work? Do you have to put one in at a time in your cart and if you don't get it go back and try for your second choice? Or can you pick two at one time and try to pay for them in one transaction?

Or can you pick two at one time and try to pay for them in one transaction? You can pick up to 4 hunt codes at a time for each species. There is a tutorial on the CPW website I suggest you review. The best tags really do go literally in seconds. Thousands of people will be on the clicker the second they become available (1100 ET).

I had 11 different tags I was interested in, all were gone by the time the system let me through. Oh well, I've probably got my hands full already with the tags I've got.
I'll keep an eye on it though, since more tags are added to the list throughout the fall.

lawrencecountyhunter Got a bear tag. West of Aspen. Decided against playing the odds on a lower quota and went for something that was a little more definite. My choices were all B tags so I didn't want to end up with two tags.
