This is the time of year when I spend a lot of time researching, scheming, and applying for tags out of state.
I found out Friday that I drew a black bear tag for Prince of Wales Island, Alaska for spring 2019.
I should know by this Thursday if I drew a Wyoming elk tag. I applied for a bull and a cow tag.
If I don't draw an elk tag, I'll probably be putting in for a Montana deer tag next month.
Anybody else researching or applying for anything, or got any other trips planned?

Wyoming antelope for sure and possibly deer. Buying points for Utah yet again. Possibly some others, but not sure yet

I will be putting in for IL firearms and archery tags and KS firearms tags. These are both lottos but I've always gotten drawn. Heading to AL shortly for a couple day pig hunt.

I applied for Wyoming elk. The odds for the unit have been all over the place for the past few years.
2015 - 1 in 5
2016 - 1 in 30
2017 - 1 in 20

Well I drew a Wyoming cow tag. Very happy, odds were <29% this year. No bull tag, but that's OK, I'll put that money to use elsewhere. How'd you do jman46151 |

We're hoping for pronghorn tags to go with my cow tag. He should definitely draw, he has points. I burned mine last year, so odds are more of a long shot.

So I think rather than applying in Montana this year, I want to burn my 2 deer points in Colorado. I'll probably return to the NW part of the state around Craig near where I hunted back in 2012.
Assuming I draw the CO tag, that'll give me an October hunt in Wyoming for cow elk and possibly pronghorn, a November hunt in CO for mule deer, and a bear hunt in AK next May. |

Submitted my Colorado deer application today, results won't be posted until June.
Next up will be the Wyoming antelope deadline in May.

I went ahead and applied for my Wyoming pronghorn doe tags today. Also applied for a whitetail doe tag in the same area my elk tag is valid, I saw some when I was there a few years ago (took a small buck).
I'm going to wait until closer to the deadline to apply for my pronghorn buck tag.

I burned 8 points applying for a Mulie tag in Colorado. I should draw, 7 were needed last year.

Only thing I actually put in for this year that would take points was my CO antelope tag. I got an offer to hunt private land in GMU 009 with a rifle. While it only took a point last year and I had 3, it was more than worth it for a hunt on a ranch without the "maddening crowd"  Other than that it is a OTC bull tag and a buck tag that is a zero pt (2nd choice) draw every year. I can't WAIT!! |

Was out there last week and seen at least a dozen mule deer every day. Seen more antelope than I have seen there before.
Seen 9 Elk but no turkeys.
