If you go with an outfitter in say WY, SD or Montana to you still have to draw a tag or do they get tags? Depends on the area you hunt I know we drew every year in WY but try that in a high demand area and you will need points. Some outfitters have land owner tags they can get here again they can set you back if it's area that produces for big deer elk goats

We Pronghorn bow hunted the Gillette area three time and was always drawn. It is a high percentage private ground area so a hunter needs to have a place lined up before the drawing.
This was with archery equipment so I dont know if that makes a difference?
We bowhunted for elk there once up above Sheridan and it was an easy draw.,

I got my refund for the unsuccessful Wyoming apps (pronghorn doe and whitetail doe), then today sent that and some more to Wyoming for deer and elk points, Montana for pronghorn points, and South Dakota for Black Hills and West River deer points.

I applied for my Hunter Management Area permit for my Wyoming pronghorn area today. They are free and unlimited in number, so it's a gimme. It provides access to about a 30k acre portion of a private ranch, to go along with about another 60k acres of free access private land enrolled in the Walk-In Area program. I did hunt the HMA a little last year, but we ended up getting both of our pronghorn bucks on isolated sections (640 acre squares) of BLM.

Currently sitting on 12 Wyoming elk points and a bunch of Deer and Antelope points. A buddy and I have been accumulating elk points to be able to draw in a trophy area (yeah, guided). The Deer and antelope points will be DIY as my cousin lives out there and knows where to go.

I have my Wyoming cow elk tag and Colorado deer tag now. I'm still waiting on my Wyoming pronghorn tag to come in.
I booked my plane tickets today for my 2019 bear hunt up in Alaska. I also confirmed dates with the rental truck company.

I purchased my South Dakota pronghorn point. Once S.D. makes their bison points available for purchase in the next month or 2 I'll have all of my points bought for the year.
I've been struggling mentally for the last week on whether to try and snag a leftover cow elk tag from the Colorado list or not. If I got one, I'd split my time out there during the 3rd season between the elk area and my deer area. I think I've decided though just to take that 10 day season to focus on trying to find a good mule deer, rather than try to shoot one real quick so I could move over to my elk unit. If I do get one real quick, I'll go up to my Wyoming elk area if I don't get that tag filled in October.
So the fall schedule looks to be set. 9/30 - 10/8 in Wyoming for cow elk and buck pronghorn, Colorado 11/3 - 11/11 for mule deer, all gaps filled in with deer here at home.
