No problem at all and agree feral cats are a problem. I live a 1/3 mile back at the end of a private drive. You would not believe how many kitten liters/cats are dropped off (sometime pups). Most kittens/pups are taken by the yotes, but some survive. In my area feral cats are in numbers matching the raccoons.

And for putting hunters and trappers in a bad light for the non hunting and trapping majority. PETA MUST LOVE HIM

I just can't do it. Dogs would really have to be threatening me to shoot one. but I can see how they would be a nuisance for some, especially cats.

I feel like all the research I've read says that trap neuter release programs are more effective. But.... Feral cats are an invasive species and people just happen to feel warm and fuzzy about them and not hogs

I don't have a problem with someone taking out a true feral cat. Just not the neighbor girl's calico because she's killing shrews and chipmunks.

I seem to remember a conversation on here several years ago that had to be changed to "Bang Flop Flop" because some officials got reprimanded for the public discussion.
You may be truly shocked at the sheer numbers of rabbits, quail, ducks, ECT that house cats kill each year let alone the actual feral cats. Feral cats kill to eat, house cats kill for pleasure.

Sorry guys and gals... I don't kill cats or dogs.. unless the dog is threatening me... If the owner doesn't care enough about the animal that it is chasing game, then it's no different than any other varmint out there. I don't care if the "coyote" is tagged or not, if it's chasing a deer, not on the property that it belongs on, then it's fair game. Same with a feline. If it isn't around a house or barn, SSS. They did a study in England about how many birds a cat kills. It was amazing.

I consider this in the unfortunate realm where much of the real world falls that's called the gray area.
So on the one hand, cats have a pretty significant environmental impact given the amount of animals they kill. On the other, it's not a specific animal's fault that its owner doesn't properly contain it or that someone couldn't be bothered to spay their pet and now has a box full of kittens they don't know what to do with.

He's right; but he'll never get people to accept the truth of it. Cats are the best predators on earth. They do a lot of damage.
