I realize that there's nothing in the works as of now, but does anyone know if Indiana is moving towards allowing HPRs on public ground for deer hunting? You can already do that with a wildcat PCR round ... You just got pay$$$$$ to get the rifle!

Which is a one round one shot gun! That is true, but I'd be willing to bet guys would think about their shot more if they knew there wasn't a fast 2nd shot....... Now that I can, I used my .243 because it is considerably lighter than my ML. On the Park Hunt I reverted back to my Tar-Hunt slug gun because you are supposed to shoot the first 3 deer you see. If I need to reach out further than the muzzleloader can in a large farm field, I had another center fire option. Now if this passes I will have more than one of those options, a .284" diameter bullet.

If you mean high power rifles, then they are already there. Liars and cheaters are using them right now already on public ground. Public ground, private ground, this county or that county are all ridiculous stipulations only fools believe are enforceable or make a difference.

How many accidents/incidents involving HPR's were there this past season? Just curious. No, I don't own any nor do I plan to buy one.

There was one incident that I remember, but it was attributed to someone target shooting, not hunting.

Wow some useful information after 632 post. Thank you. Please feel free to post any information that you have on hunting, fishing or trapping. Unless you just specialize in English teaching.
