Hatchetjack, Thank you very much! It's appreciated. Jim Keep in mind I don't describe myself as a "deer hunter". I'm just a hunter and fisherman. I hear you! Thanks again for keeping us informed.

Ya'll might want to watch the NRC meetings this year also. Don't forget they postponed the license increases earlier this year until after the legislature was over (no new taxes).

90%+ of my deer have been taken at 50 yds. or less. Many at 50 ft. or less. I'll stick with my Marlin in .44 Mag or my Henry in .357 Mag. I'll just wash my hands of all of this Bovine Scat and stick to just enjoying my time in the woods.

90%+ of my deer have been taken at 50 yds. Same here. I've only killed one deer over 100 yards (slug gun), and quite truthfully, I could probably say that was the only deer I've ever shot over 75 yards. But, I still love a good "high-powered" rifle, even for chip shots.

Anywhere from 30 out 300yds. during firearms season. Really depends on which property I'm on.

Its just nice to have several options available now. I followed and advanced with the changes throughout the years. Now the hpr is something fresh and new, so it is the most popular in our group. Its also a lot easier for junior to shoot a 243 than a slug gun.

I agree 100% it will help the younger new hunters with less recoil. Wish it was available earlier. Now my three boys are young men and makes no difference.
