I saw a grebe one time and wondered if it would be worth the $1000 fine to see what it tasted like.

I've never seen a snow goose, but if I did, I'd probably think it was a swan.

Guys you may not believe this but the Saturday after Thanksgiving we do our annual pheasant hunting trip out at Royal Flush south of Rockville. On our way there about 5 to 6 miles west of Danville In. There were about a 1000 snow geese in a plowed corn field. My son and I looked at each other and thought each of us was crazy, never seen them this far East. Then when we get to Royal Flush we see a small gaggle of swans, then about 15 mins we see a pair of swans.

For anyone around West Lafayette take a drive along the "bog" and west Cumberland Ave....plenty of geese-one or two white ones in some of the flocks. I'd guess at times there are at least a thousand birds along that stretch of corn stubble fields and OF COURSE it's all in city limits!!! .....grrrrr.....this is one time I can't wait for development to catch up to the open fields-maybe then some of these birds will head on out my way.

I think they've actually been down in my field once or twice in the past couple of years.

My buddy says he saw a bunch of doves feeding in the fields at night. He'd never seen this before.
I think they're all confused. Yep, magnetic pole disturbance.

I did not see hardly anything yesterday out scouting. I may just go out in the morning and see what all flying , after all this rain, may push small rivers out and some flood water, but with no birds, wont do any good.
