OK. This too funny. Just checked with my buddies and about to wrap this one up. And here comes a big ole ruckus. A flock of maybe 20 Canada geese just landed in the corn stubble about 50 yards directly to my east...YOU MESSIN WITH ME featherduster!!! ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

Maybe this fall you will have turkeys in your duck decoys. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Aren't you glad you went.

I'm sitting on my property this morning. Sitting in a cedar strip just off the Powerline cut. Hearing a few far off gobbles but nothing close. Might be a sit and wait proposition this morning. Maybe they will wander through late.

In Brown Co this morning. Had 3 go off so far, one down the hill about 100 yards. Nothing is coming in and they are already quieting down in. Can only stay until 10:00 and I think Met is right it is going to be a little later if I get one

Over slept and got here a few minutes before 7. Talked to the owner on his porch and no gobbling yet. Had 3 dogs run through my set up 10 minutes after I got settled in.

Those gobblers are in my neighbor's field. I can't see them through the trees but they have to be within a couple hundred yards. I'm sure they are with hens. I think my best bet is to get comfy and wait for them to disperse and hope they start cruising. I just heard another gobbler back behind me a little further off. I'm still in the game.

Well he came up the hill, bad move on his part. Came in strutting and when he cleared some brush about 30 yards out that was his demise. 9" beard and both Spurs 1-1/4" I'll take it! ![](http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/drdennis/Turkey2015_zpsxlzyvrol.jpg)

Late night again working on some projects so I didn't make it out. Heading to church soon then heading out after lunch for a great scouting/set up. I want to get close to that loud mouth tomorrow morning so i would like to have my little skirt blind, chair and decoys ready when I get there. Good luck, be safe, have fun and God Bless!

Toms have gone silent for the last 45 min. Hoping that means the hens are dispersing. Hoping some lonely boys start cruising around.

Still haven't heard or seen the first turkeys today. Just had 3 does feed around me for 30 minutes. One was missing her tail.

Cell signal has been scetchy, but we hunted from daylight until dark yesterday. Worked 13 different gobblers. Saw 9 that there was no way we could set up on them. Called in 9 jakes and saw 23 total. Never fired a shot.
Got up this morning and hit a different ranch. Heard several birds at daylight and got set up on one shortly after. He came across the pasture and right up to the decoys. My brother in law shot the bird (and my DSD jake). 21 lb, 9.5" beard and 1 3/8" spurs. An absolute trophy of a pure Merriam that is going on the wall.
We relocated and was doing some calling and walking when I heard a bird drumming. We set down and two gobblers came in. I shot them both. 21lb, 1 1/8" spurs and 9" beard and 23 lb, 1" spurs and 10" beard.

Great report. Congrats to both of you. Is your brother in law going to take your DSD jake to the taxidermist? Would be a good story to tell. (just kidding, of course) Where are you hunting?
