As of today (1-22) there isn't any movement at all on HB1194. I'll keep watching though! I was told today that if it hasn't been heard by now it is probably dead for this session. Thing is I don't trust the legislature so let's keep a close eye on them. Jack

I received this today:
HB 1046 establishing apprentice hunting licenses passed out of committee with a unanimous vote on January 16th.
Committee Chairman, Bob Bischoff has decided that the hearing today in the House Natural Resources Committee on the archeology bill will in fact be the last House Bill to be considered this session.
Therefore, the bills concerning game birds, game preserves and canned hunting will not be scheduled this session.

Jack, does that mean the other bills that are "in the pipe" die and they will have to be reintroduced next session?

Jack, does that mean the other bills that are "in the pipe" die and they will have to be reintroduced next session? It means the authors will just try to slide them in as amendments to bills that make it through.

For the most part (especially this year) those bills will die. If'n it ain't property taxes they don't want to mess with it this year. But rest assured you will see many of the same bills next year in the long session.

Here's one to get your blood pressure going... I got four e-mail confirmations this morning in response to the e-mails I sent out several weeks ago..., all saying the same thing "your message was deleted with out being read..." The upstanding representatives who deleted the e-mails with out reading them are: Rep. Bob Bischoff (D), Dist 68 Rep. Steve Stemler (D), Dist 71 Rep. Dale Grubb (D), Dist 42 Rep. Linda Lawson (D), Dist 1 All members of the House Natural Resource Committe...

I got this off another forum site: Joe,
Thank you for contacting me. HB1194 was never even heard in committee, so it will not make it to the House floor this year for a vote. In other words, the bill "died" before it even reached committee. Please let me know if I may be of further assistance to you.
Rep. Bob Behning
