Ground sit in area #2 at Shades, woodpeckers and owls have been all I've heard or seen so far. Have heard a few shots since 7:30. I hope we have some luck today.

Back at Brown County today. Heard 20 shots so far. No deer sightings for me yet.

Was drawn to hunt Turkey Run today but with all the past comments on that area and my tough time seeing deer this year I thought my day was spent better at work. Wow.. never thought I would be saying that this season! not giving up yet just giving myself a break to get ready for MZ.

Had to leave at halftime today as the gal I'm hunting with had a meeting for work this afternoon. Almost hit what I think was a spike while driving in the park coming in and bounced a doe walking out. While I was hunting - nada. Almost all the shooting I was hearing this morning was coming from Section 3 and some fewer from farther away, like maybe the horseman's camp area.

Hunted prophetstown with my wife today. I managed to shoot a decent buck would have been eleven point but he broke off three tines. I heard very few shots. When i checked it in at 1:30 it was only the second one checked in. Going to get back at it again tomorrow.

dbd, you going back to Brown County again tomorrow? Still unsure if I'm going back or not. May just go and if it's as slow as today will probably head out early and call it a day.

Back on stand at Shades this morning. Nada for yesterday. Only heard 9 shots all day. Saw a nice doe loaded up from the east end of area 1. Good luck out there!

Only 37 taken here yesterday. Where did these sprinkles come from? 3 does in the road at the top of the hill going in to Nashville this morning

Looks like I messed up; I ended up putting Angela right on top of a bedding area. She bounced 3 does going in - sigh I didn't know

good luck everyone, snowing here. Got 8 on the ground calling for between 6 to 13 by tomorrow evening. Atleast it is warm out, 28 degrees. Going to load beagles up and go chase some snowshoe hare around.

I've been out of the loop for a while; it's good to see that you're all still at it. I just don't think I'll be the hunter that you all are. I can't resist shooting the squirrels when I see them. Went out this morning and didn't see squat...we back out this evening and had 3 does come in from a funnel I was watching. Now the deer usually take the runway in front of where I was set up but tonight they decided to walk past me from behind at 15yds. It was too dark for me to shoot behind me due to not knowing where all the little twigs from saplings where at so I let them pass. I didn't want to wound one of them. Had they came by the way they were supposed to then I would have more meat for the freezer. That's hunting for you though. Lol...I had an excellent hunt even though I didn't score. Just being out there in this nice weather was worth every minute...

No action whatsoever this morning in Monroe County. 4th time in a row I haven't seen a deer during a morning hunt. I'm definitely considering ending my season early, it just seems like I'm wasting my time in the woods! Definitely frustrating...
