Happy Thanksgiving!
Hunting with Mission5 in Lawrence county today. Saw 3 does right at light in a field 250 yards away. Nothing since. I have heard a total of 9 shots so far. 4 in the last half an hour. It sounds like a war zone out here!

I consider myself lucky to see this on the way to the stand . A whole flock of pheasants that is my first time seeing any. I've been told that they are little to no population here in east central Indiana

Haven't seen a thing. Only heard 3-4 shots and that was right after dawn. What's up in Spencer Indiana...?

It was a cold morning here in the teens, but I actually stayed warmer than usual. Went out to try to get a doe this morning, but only thing that showed up was a cute little spike. He bedded down right by me, and stayed for a little over two hours. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Szw6vamtnfs

Can't believe it. After all these hours I finally got a couple does. 1st one I shot last Friday (just got around to posting it) A coyote was chasing her. And the 2nd one I shot in the cold this morning.

Another dry day in southern indiana. Earlier in the season I couldn't keep the does off me, and now I'm lucky to even see one. Getting a shot at one is another story. Heading back out in the morning to a property right on lake monroe. The last few days have been uncharacteristically slow. I hope some of you fellas are puttin down the deer I'm not seein.

Good question. After shooting the doe I quickly turned to look for the yote. I guess he already hauled butt up the creek cause he was gone. He did not hang around to get lead poisoning. Hopefully I can put some jewelry on that yote soon with a foothold bracelet or a nice snare neckless.

My son braved the cold once again this morning and got his first deer. A nice big doe. Not to bad for an 8 year old.

And I seen him he was only 40yards out but never had a shot. Then he walked away so I get down and try to stalk him but he runs. So I get out of the woods to see if he's in the field but he's not. I kept walking around the woods to cut him off then I see his tail and he stays put. I had to cross a fencelline I get across that and there's a big ruckus in the woods moving in the opposite direction. So I cross back over the fence but it was pheasants. I was getting mad so I went back to the stand to get my stuff and I seen him 250yards away in another field needless to say I went the wrong way around the woods. I'm kicking myself really hard
