As for the low sightings... Went out Saturday, got my antlerless filled by about 9 am. Then, went out today, and by 8 am had a doe and a nice buck in front of me...took a good shot at about 30 yards, but after tracking all day, lost the buck, unfortunately. Still, no shortage of deer where I've been... Also, took my harvest to Archer's for processing and that 'deer room' was PACKED. Had a few monsters in there, too!

It was a beautiful morning but sadly, I had to exit the woods about 0930 so I could be at work by 11. Good luck all!

I tip my hat to all you hunters out in the elements early day after day. I got frustrated early after a couple weeks of seeing nothing in Oct, but at least I wasn't freezing. I admire your resolve and tenacity.
I'm out for a while as I'm still in a lot of pain in my shoulder. The incision is fine, but the pain in my shoulder builds throughout the day and is breathtaking by bedtime. Hopefully, I 'll be back out next year inspired by all your efforts.

I hunted yesterday and after a Long sit, I to am frustrated with the deer sightings This has probably been 1 of the worst deer season for me. I am hanging it up. I just do not have the Get up and Go. I think its a Sad day when I say this, Because I used to Hunt Till the last bell sounded. I still have a Bonus Tag, Left I may get back out, after I get some projects done. Best Of Luck All.

I'm getting frustrated, or maybe discouraged, too about the deer movement in my area. But I will keep after it until the final sunset if I have to. Don't give up yet!

6 sits in 3 days and 0 deer sightings, yep its time to throw in the towel till muzzleloader season. Its horrible, the worst in 25+ years of deer hunting. You cant shoot something when its just not there.

Wow. I thought I was the only one that complains I "NEVER" see a deer. Looks like others are in the same boat as me. If I add all the hours I hunted from Oct 1st till now it has to be ove 300 hrs on stand. I seen 20 deer this year. So that is 1 deer for every 15 hrs on stand. I also hunt in over 15 different spots. Same outcome. It is frustrating when guys get on here and see 20 deer in one sit. That is just plain unbelievable in my book. I have been hunting for over 30 years too and I have never shot a buck over 135 inches. Truthfully I have never seen a buck bigger than 135 inches while hunting. I am very happy for the guys that do get brutes but I just wish once I could get a 150 incher.

It's in your blood; you guys and gals can't help but sit for the opportunity. I watched a hunting show once of a female hunter. She was an older hunter and was sick on this trip. It was all she could do to go out each day to sit in the blind. It was cold winter with snow on the ground. On the last day of her hunt, she got a big one. This is what keeps you going out.
I'm excited to see if crabclaw will survive yet another hunting season. Oh I hope he does, and I'll be looking for him next year.
I respect what you all do, and you really do inspire me.
Thanks!

I am blessed to hunt two properties in very high deer density areas. My lease in Franklin County and my own property in Dearborn County are in areas that Stevie Wonder could kill a deer in. It's impressive to me that so many guys on here hunt day after day seeing few to no deer. THAT is hunting! In a typical year for me, I may sit one or two hunts a year without seeing any deer. Seeing double figures in a hunt is much more common than getting skunked. I'm not sure I could stick with it if I was not seeing many deer. I admire those of you who tough it out. One thing I do have to do though to have what I have is commit a lot of drive time and money. My lease is 60 miles from my home and my own land is 90 miles away. Sometimes, to see a lot of deer, one must be willing to travel a lot of miles.

I have had enough as well. I have spent more time in the woods than in the last six years. I have seen a total of nine deer while on stand and was lucky enough to harvest a vey respectable 10 pointer with my crossbow. My lease partners have seen even fewer. I spent opening day of firearms season in my favorite spot in a Martin Co. public plot. I saw three juvenile bucks and heard very few shots. I can't even begin to count how many times I have seen more deer on one sit than I have this entire season!
I had planned on hunting last Friday, all weekend, today, and tomorrow before the holiday family obligations took over. it rained all day Friday, windy Saturday, lost interest Sunday, rain/sleet/snow/wind today and a forecast of 15mph. wind for tomorrow. I am fed up with taking vacation days and using $20 worth of gas each time I head to the woods. If I was just seeing deer, it would all be worth it and I would not be typing this rant right now. I would already be in bed and have the truck loaded for tomorrow.
I am also hesitant to shoot any does. I will probably spend the ML season scouting for next year and trying to still-hunt some deer towards my friend and brother.
Can't wait for the crappie spawn.

I'm not seeing many deer on my property in Crawford County, but I'm seeing a few more then last year. This is only my 3rd year hunting. I saw lots of does and small bucks my 1st year (20+ opening weekend), and ended up shooting a small 3pt for my 1st deer ever the next weekend. Last year, I never saw a shootable deer. A slight hindrance last year was I was still working on my cabin, so I was probably making a little more noise then I should have. This year, between myself and 2 buddies, we only saw 5 deer opening weekend + Mon & Tue, only 2 of which were shootable. There was a nice 8 pt chasing a doe that one of my buddies shot at, but missed (clean miss, luckily). This past weekend I finally shot a small 9 pt. as my 1st real buck; but my buddy never saw anything. So in 12 man-days of hunting (1 man, morning evening hunts), we saw 6 deer. I'm going to try and get out this weekend for a doe, and try to get my oldest daughter hunting.

Can't believe so many guys stay home on windy days..my biggest deer was taken on days with winds over 15 mph..it's definitely worth the sit..my brother took a nice 8 the other say it was very windy n alittle warm..he saw several bucks n a doe..took the 8.I let a small buck and a doe walk ..I took a 18 in wide 10 pointer last weak was alittle windy that day to..don't know how to load pics.... Just saying guys..that windy day on the couch wining to your wide could be costing u your buck ...good luck & safe hunting to all...
