LOL. Will do. One doe was probably at least 4.5 maybe 5.5. The other was bambi. The two together and he (Tyler) has some decent amount of meat. Took to new amish guy on Aaron road for processing. I usually take mine to Naploleon Locker, but they are getting a little high $80.00 per deer. Think Tyler said amish were $60 or $65.00.

Let the Encore loose on a doe next to the soybean field. It was a good night to shoot a deer. Donated her to a guy who has 22 grandchildren and they all love his jerky. Not sure she will feed all of them??? Thats alot of kids.......

Nope it wasn't Wheezey! He's a forkhorn, so I have to let him walk! But he would be a good first deer for Whitney because he beds down a lot, and you can find him fairly easy by listening for the coughing!

I know you can because the first year I lived in my new home it was opening day of gun season and while I was working on the house I kept a loaded gun handy and I was also wearing an orange hat. I killed an 8 point from my bedroom window.

I'm out and at it again today. But will have to say I'm cheating alittle. A few years ago I built a enclosed tower on my place. Nice on a day like this.

I'm in the stand again before the rain hits, then off to bed. It's my understanding that a deer took some lead just after legal light. The tracking didn't start until I got locked in, so I'm waiting to hear......

Featherduster...that's quite an accomplishment lol.....I will never look at that term the same again...ill rephrase it next time and say "can't kill em from the bedroom all covered up and in bed" lol...I love this site!

No joy...... Foot trailed a little over 200 yards with no blood to find him bedded under a cedar with a doe. They jumped up and ran flat out almost 400 yards across an open field with him right on her tail. From that point we foot trailed another 650 yards or so to the neighbors and a hill that this old fat guy couldn't get up with climbing gear.
I think it is safe to say he is just fine.

Decided to hunt near Madison today to avoid the rain as long as possible. It's worked so far. A doe with a mighty nice six came in at 30 yds around 930. They are the local deer and very spooky. Hoping a big boy from the Ohio river bottom comes seeking up my ridge.

I was single at the time. My bride of 12 years doesn't mind me hunting just not from inside the house. For all those still hunting ( I killed my deer an 8 point approx. 165 pound buck on opening day evening) the best is yet to come. Since yesterday evening the deer have made several scrapes and rubbed the daylights out of my pine trees also my buddy said yesterday the deer were chasing during the mid-day.
