Pretty quiet here today. Been sitting all day except heading in for lunch and I have only seen a 1.5 year old buck about 8:00. Still a little time to get a buck with the bow but time is fading fast.

You have got that right woody. I love this site. This my after work fix everyday! Taking my 8 year old out in the morning and my season will be a success no matter what he shoots. This is his first year with a gun, and right now I feel like a kid on xmas eve! Good luck everyone and be safe!

The lure of opening day was too much. I just had to get out there and see what's going on. On my way to my place. I've got the .357 mag in case a coyote dares come by.

Already had a doe pass by! She went from West to east and I thought she was going to come into my blind! Glad I sprayed down with fresh earth! If I had my bow I would have taken her. Will wait until this afternoon to shoot a doe. Also, just heard the first shot. ML I believe.

Lots of shooting all around. No deer by me yet. My buddy shot a buck in Franklin County not long after legal light. He hasn't gone after it yet. I'll post a pic when he sends it.

My buddy found his buck. He's a little disappointed in the ground shrinkage, but not a bad buck.

Sightings so far - 2 doe, fawn, a spike and an unknown. I ran off and forgot my binos so the I known will remain an unknown...

On the stand since 6am in Benton County, saw one about 50 yds out heading south into wind at 6:55. Was still too dark to make out if it was buck or doe. Nothing since then but chattering squirrels and they are quiet now. Did hear a shot at 7:50 maybe a mile east of our woods. Hunting partner texted he's moving off his stand to the east and going to head north and see what he can get moving. Good luck everyone and be safe!
