He sure is good at knocking on doors. I usually just get the door slammed in my face. Maybe it's the beard. Well I'm out at the new property with ^^. Hoping to call something in before dark. It's that baby face. Those old women can't resist it. I bet he got some cookies too. No cookies this time...just manual labor around the house lol

Went out to the new spot again today around 615. About 930 I saw a good sized buck a couple hundred yards away...couldn't determine how many points. Looked to be an 8. I watched him for a half hour and decided to get down. It was good to see some deer on just my second day out there! Got my cam all set up. Going to ohio Thursday and coming back next Tuesday. Excited to see what pics I get when I come back

Zip again this AM. Going back out early this afternoon. Just called a couple hunting buddies locally. Only one has seen a buck chasing a doe HERE anyway.
NEVER GIVE UP but dang is it D E A D in the woods and surrounding fields where I hunt (right now).
Happy to see that is not the case everywhere. Some brutes taken here and on Facebook on the Indiana Whitetails page......there are some HOGS going down.
Me, I'll settle for a 140 lb 6 point at 15 yards right now! LOL (GETTING DISGUSTED)
God Bless

LOL (GETTING DISGUSTED) God Bless Still same here in N LaPorte county. Since getting opening day urban doe, only saw 2 does since. Same as my buds, slim on sightings too. Really hope it picks up for gun. I am off 1st week and 1st Park hunt at Potato Creek. At least things picked up there, saw a huge buck with a doe 25yds from my stand on Saturday. Saw several other deer while setting up buds stand, and the sign is getting good. Hoping for some action. Not liking the forecast of 57deg and rain on Sunday, but hope the forecast changes for the better. Jay

Buddies went yesterday all day and saw 5 does between the 3 of them. No bucks. They were in Switzerland and Dearborn County.

I hunted 10 hours last Friday and 6 hours last Saturday morning and only saw 3 deer the whole time. All three were shooter bucks (or close) and all were from 11:00am to 3:00pm. I normally only hunt mornings and evenings. If I didn't make myself stay longer, I would be saying that it is dead as well (not that 3 in 16 hours is active). Just have to be in the right place at the right time the way they are running.

Hey deadeer, where are you set up at Potato Creek? We just set stands yesterday on the east side about midway north to south.

Over 400 pictures across 4 cameras in 51 hours. 4 new bucks to the farm, 3 chasing does, one made a new rub on a tree 6 feet in front of one camera. I had flashbacks to Woody's camera thief thread.

So much for my morning hunt. I hunted all day Monday and my clothes got wet from the afternoon rain. Left them in their container in my truck and they are frozen stiff! Good luck all you other cold weather warriors!!!

Not able to get home from work early enough to get in a stand this morning, but did have an 8 pt chase a doe through my yard and saw another nice buck in a field alone shortly after daylight.
