My nine hours on stand condensed down to 5 minutes or so. Pretty slow at our place here in NW Greene today...at least after 9am.

I sure hope there are a lot of you in a tree today. I think it's going to be a good one. I was going duck hunting, but got cancelled due to an emergency. Now, I'm going after a doe. My team needs more points and I need something to hang on my back porch.
My wife is out of town this weekend. She is so very tolerant of me and my hobbies, but really hates the dead animals around. I want to have a big doe hanging on the back porch when she gets home. I really love her. :-)

Im at the property that I hunt windy about 20mph. Wind is perfect for the tree stand I want to hunt. The woods I hunt is about 35 arcs with a thin tree line on the back right corner I'll be there today. Corn is down around the house but the farmer in the back field waits forever to collect crops my guess is that the corn is still up which could be an issue. Will be scenting doe today. If I don't see anything before 9 gonna rattle some an grunt.
Still going after my first bow kill. I still want it to be a buck. Good luck all.

While not a subject discussed much.......Take into consideration WIND DRIFT on an arrow flying today! Going out tonight (ground stand for me in this), but SHOOTING in this wind first! I know such happens, this set up is new enough to me, I want a better idea in my head of what will happen past 15 yards. Not a day for a 30 yarder for this ol bird.
Hand in hand, tree movement and just being rock solid while aiming. Wind comes into play at these speeds. IMHO
2 Cents God Bless

Hope you are right; they are saying 30mph gusts today, just hoping the chasing phase will help overcome that. Historically that's enough wind that my track record isn't very good.
No birds no squirrels no nothin - except wind. Not feeling it this am. Think to morrow will be better

A little different scenery today. My only stop for a south wind and it is blowing pretty good. It's a funnel that connects some thickets/uncut corn fields to approx. 650 acres of woods. Had one come by before daylight and a doe and yearling shortly after. Did rattle a small 9 pointer in yesterday morning from a stand just one the other side.

Hunted all day yesterday and only saw one. It was a big ten that I've been after, in range but no shooting lane. Then heard from cousin last night that the neighbor posted on Facebook that he saw the biggest ten he ever saw while hunting. Guess they can't stay a secret forever. My cousin thinks the neighbor took a shot even.I'm hoping he shows himself today

Much different here. I have seen 7 different bucks so far... passed two separate 130" deer. No chasing but on their feet after first light cruising.
Have seen 5 does as well....
