I hunted in Southern Monroe County this morning and had very little movement. Just had a 120" come by feeding that I had to pass on. Still havent seen the chasing that everyone else seems to be seeing.

Thought for sure I was going to see a couple young bucks sparring last night, but the smaller one thought better of it.  |

Saw 8 bucks this morning in a 3 hour set. All 2.5 and 3.5 yr olds. 2 were hot on a doe and wouldn't let her get out of sight. 1 buck made a rub and 2 others sparred for a few minute's.

Just had a 140" come in on me stood and got my bow. I didn't see the doe he was chasing but she sure saw me. . . She took off and brought him with her. . . Dang!!! It's exciting to hear that they're chasing now. |

Hurried home from work got in the stand about 3 and about ten yards away is a new scrape hopefully they move good tonight

Hunting has been the pits, seeing no deer. Went fishing and caught a mess for the fryer. Bluegills and bass are on fire.

Rumor has it another HI member just planted a nice 8 pointer. Hopefully he will post pics and story later. They are starting to fall like crazy. Get in a tree boys and girls!

Since it was raining and I couldn't work, I thought I would go sit it the woods this afternoon. On my walk in at 230, I see a nice size deer with some impressive head gear crossing the cut bean field in the lower corner. I had plans to hunt that corner, so I backed out and set up in another woods, just inside the gate. I have seen 4 doe and 2 small bucks trailing close behind, with their noses to the ground. Hope to see a shooter tonight while in stand. I need to get some meat hanging:)

Well, got busted on stand tonight. It was raining pretty good, so I put the hood up on my jacket, which gave me limited visibility. It rained good for about 10 minutes and I was sitting down. When the rain let up, I looked around as best I could and started to take my hand out of my pocket to remove my hood, when I here something bolt beneath me. I literally had 2 doe just over my right shoulder and below me. They went behind me, then moved off to my left and slowly walked away, never giving me the opportunity to shoot. Better luck tomorrow morning. I dislike, hunting in the rain, but it's better than sitting at home  |

Back at it today. Didnt hunt yesterday because of the rain. Tuesday I saw 6 different bucks from the stand. Hoping today is the day!

You got your gallbladder removed woody? I didn't know you would only be out for a week, that's a nice recovery. Congrats, hope your healing process goes well..
