I have a wood duck box full of eggs near my grandma's pond and we discovered a mallard hen has a nest at the edge of the pond. My buddy could only see one egg, so I fear the local critters found the others.
Definitely a lot of ducks hanging out in and around the Goose Pond area.

I've seen a lot of little ones running around on the local ponds. Was in an industrial park SW of Columbus and saw 2 pairs walking around with goslings...3 of the 4 adults had bands! And of course they never leave the safe confines of the industrial park.
Here's a frustrating one for you. My dad works at one of the buildings in this industrial park. They have a huge problem with geese leaving "messes" everywhere and also attacking employees during nesting season. However, they don't allow any hunting, AT ALL! Has anyone ever had any luck convincing someone to let them hunt in an industrial park? By the way this park is not within the city limits of Columbus so I don't see an issue with that.

i would definetly be checkin to see if there is any kinda ordinance er something. Cause in most cases if its not in the city-limits.. well that makes it fair game. Keyword being MOST so dont take my word for it!!!

Hello, I'm new to hunting, but have been around this earth for 53 years. I have thoroughly enjoyed the few hunting trips that I've taken, mostly by myself. I have no friends who hunt ...yet. I'm excited to think about waterfowl hunting, and would love to go somewhere this fall. Can anyone tell me about Goose Pond? I do not have a boat or dog, but I bought a good pair of waders. Are there places there that will be suitable for me?
Also, I live about 2 hours north of there. I see they have daily draws, but I can't afford to spend the gas money and not know that I'll hunt. Am I correct in thinking that they have open hunting on Tuesdays and Sundays?
