Not to go off topic but I suggest a Beretta Extrema 2. They are amazing shotguns and are being fazed out now so they can be found very cheap. Never had a jam, cycles everything flawlessly. Good idea on losing the 10GA though.

I think you'll be happy with the Extrema 2, Maxus, or SBEII. I'm about halfway through paying for my new Remington Versa Max, it's the one I liked the best out of all of them.

joeyb is right, any of those guns will work nicely. I currently shoot a SBEII however if I was to purchase a new gun I would take a long hard look at that Remington. In my opinion The 10 ga is a gun of the past, with 3 1/2" 12 ga 1 1/4 #2s loads having velocity's at 1700 fps how much more do you need. With the above mentioned guns you can shoot a dove load then a goose load and then back again to a dove load without a problem (most of the time).

Baikal MP153. Buy 4 or 5 of them for the price of one of the others mentioned. Had mine for about 8 seasons now and still running strong. Might need to upgrade the recoil spring or whatever it is as it is getting slow on the cycling. Lots and lots of lead & steel been pushed out of the barrel from 3.5"Ts to reload skeet shells without adjustments.
Good luck!

maxus, sbeII, extremas. They are all high quality firearms. How good can a SHOTGUN get? lol I think whatever feels good shouldered and isn't to hard on the wallet is your best bet.

I think Remington imported them as Remington Spartan 458 in for a while if that makes you feel better! LOL.
It's all American, you spend your money as you see fit and I will buy 2 guns, 1/2 case of shells, plus enough decoys to kill me some birds to your one gun... Ponyal

Real waterfowlers shoot reliable pump guns!! -Remington 870 Express - Black Synthetic Stock is what I've been shooting for the last 6 seasons. Can't get more reliable than that for pump imo. Retiring it after this turkey season.

Where do they make Browning? Mostly in Japan; and I'm not sure but I think they started making some back in Belgium again. I know for a while when they were making the Winchester's you could buy one from FN Belgium.
