I went out to try and shoot me a few geese today but all the dang ducks that show up now were in my way.

Thats how it usually goes...duck season needs to back up about a month and we'd really be able to get into some. Wish I could find a spot to hit up the late season!

Visibility was only 80 to 120 Yds with the fog, but we still were able to pull some in. 3 short of a 2 man limit. We should have limited out. Brain dead on the first 3 that showed up, only got 1. For some reason the 1100 won't fire when the safety is on......... Mossberg 835 had a shell not come out of the chamber after firing. Took gun apart and used a stick to push it out. Shots were between 10 and 35 Yds. Saw a nice pair of Pintails, one Gadwall and a pair of Mallards. Every time the fog got a bit thinner, another small flock of geese would come by. We probably saw 50-60 birds today, and jumped 200 off of the depression in the field yesterday. They left and never came back.

NICE! I'm itching to give it a go too, (new join). Any one have thoughts (pointer) about the Goose pond out in Linton? Anyone been out there lately?

We duck hunted out there a lot this year. Never saw a ton of geese. Here and there we had some around. May be worth a try this time of year. I would have no idea where to go for geese once there. Just get there early and drive around a bit.
