We still have quite a few around with a lot of pairing going on, geese are staking out muskrat houses and grassy points. Went out Friday before the snow and got a couple however they shut down quick.

My local spot gets hot when everything else freezes up. With all the open water retention ponds, my spot is dead.

We're done for the year. My buddy's wifes car is acting up as of today, and he's headed out of town all next week. So, he'll be trying to fix the car tomorrow. With the temps in the single digits tonight, it would have been hard dragging my butt out of bed in the morning anyway.
Good luck to whoever is still going out!

esshup:did the area around 8&39 do any good this year? I honestly don't know. We do our waterfowl hunting up near South Bend.

esshup:did the area around 8&39 do any good this year? They are only open on Wednesday and Saturday so 5 out of 15 days and Bring your own boat. The first two days the shot them up in the river blinds. How people got boats in and out of 10y I don't know. The next two days not so good and one day to go. Some big groups not local birds were hanging around until they stared getting shot at. I heard the gravel pick was loaded Saturday night and so was Blyth's then been heading north.
