Whats your setup this season? Here is mine: Marlin 25N Tasco 3x7x20mm Federal Classic solid points Anything within 50 yards...watch out! It looks the numbers have rebounded greatly since last season and the opportunities should be plenty next month. I am ready! I will be packing the 4" Taurus model 92 as well, for those shots at 10 yards or less. This gun also prefers Federal Classic ammo...

Yes they are.My dad gave me his model 25 when I was a kid,and like a fool, several years later I decided I wanted a semi-auto and traded it in and got a model 60.I kept that model 60 for close to 20 years and I finally decided I had had enough and got a model 25N.I sold the model 60 shortly after and haven't regretted it one bit .

(1) CZ M-452 AMERICAN CLASSIC in .22 LR with Weaver Rimfire Scope. I use CCI Mini-Mags or Super-X Hollowpoint Ammo.
(2) Stoeger .410 S/S Uplander. I use #5 shot Federal Brand 3" shells.
(3) Kimber Of Oregon M-82 .22 Hornet. I use a special light load that is excellent and non-destructive on Squirrels.
(4) Winchester M-43 in .25-20. Use either lead cast NEI bullets Gas checked or 86 grain SP bullets.

I also own a few nice model 60s, but once the 25N came along they don't see near as much action.

Marlin 39 A with scope CCI sub sonics I shoot sub-sonics also, out of a Browning BL-52 lever action. I love that you can hear the bullet "smack" when it hits and it doesn't scare the others in the tree with them.

For almost 50 years it has always been a Marlin 39-A . A few years ago I add a Bushnell 4x32 my eyes aren't what they were when I was younger. I still take 12 rats a season and all are head shots.

A Remington Model 552-Speedmaster, topped with a Deerfield 4X32 scope-All bought in 1980. That rifle shoots the lights out even with the cheap little Winchester lead nosed Long Rifle rounds I shoot. Hard to say how many squirrels I`ve killed with that rifle, but it`s a TON. ;D

There's nothing wrong with hunting with a scope. Give it a shot.
