I had a friend say that if we moved muzzleloader season to November and the firearm to December we could see larger older bucks a lot faster due to only having one shot, who on the forum thinks this is possible, and would you favor a change like this.

I had a friend say that if I played the lottery I could win big, that has never happened. I think my friend was full of $hit just like your friend! X2 Can't remember the last time i took two shots at a deer. Many of us hunt with muzzleloaders or single shot rifles during firearms season any way

So many people use muzzleloader during firearm season it makes one wonder why we need two seperate seasons rather than one long season for any legal weapon. The only benefit is to the DNR in they get to sell two tags instead of one which is nothing more than legalized robbery in the form of another tax. Now they "traditional" muzzleloaders want their "own season" which they will probably get because it gives the state another reason to add yet another tax on the hunters to which many will blindly support thinking they are helping our DNR all while bemoaning our archaic license structures.

I haven't shot a deer more than once in over 15 years. The last time I needed another shot was with a muzzle loader.

I had to fire two shots with my ML on opening day. I got both deer too. If the state did something like that there would be a surge of new ML sales.
You need to change your screen name to unpracticalsportsman.

Everything I hunt deer with is single shot. My Pearson bow, my H&R .44 mag, my T/C Firehawk, and my Horton crossbow. Never have believed in spraying lead around. One shot, make it count!

Many of us use the "one shot, one kill" approach with bow, single shot rifles, pistols, and shotguns....muzzleloaders too.

Alot of guy's use ML during firearm anyway's. Kinda silly to have seperate season. Just combine them and add a few days. TO SIMPLE FOR DNR.
