The only time I had to take a second shot was after a hang fire with my ML. The hang fire round only grazed her nose, but the second shot took out her shoulder and put her in the freezer.

I had a friend say that if we moved muzzleloader season to November and the firearm to December we could see larger older bucks a lot faster due to only having one shot, who on the forum thinks this is possible, and would you favor a change like this. What's the update on your wife's wounded buck? I need a good laugh for today.

Why does everyone want to change everything? I think its fine the way it is............. The only people that think things are fine the way they are, are single season hunters. IMO

IMO I hunt ALL seasons...........I would think that people who want to change things are single season hunters who want to extend or move their season..................................

IMO Could NOT be more wrong. I too hunt ALL the seasons, and enjoy ALL of them. I just don't feel one type of hunter has the right to expand their prefered method at the expense of another. ESPECIALLY bow hunters, they/I already have three months to hunt IF they/I choose to, compared to a few weeks for gun AND muzzleloader hunters. Exactly HOW MUCH of the Indiana deer season do the bow hunters want to themselves? Can SOMEONE answer me that?

I for one don't. If ur just a gun hunter, it doesn't affect you. Also if it were up to the hardcore gun hunter groups, there would be no bow season at all.....

I don't buy tags, I have a lifetime license. Payed my $525... I'm good. If I called out bow hunters, I called myself out since I'm one too I guess. The scrapped proposed rule changes made it quite clear WHO was being catered too. And it WASN'T firearm hunters. The comment was made as a response to the poster who stated he thought things are just fine the way they are. Firearms only hunters are for the most part perfectly happy with the current reg's. It's the bow hunters who appear not to be. Hardcore GUN HUNTER groups want NO bow season? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ?? ![huh](https://www.ingunowners.com/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif) ? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ? That make no sense at all! WHY would any gun hunter care if someone bow hunts? You'll have to 'splain THAT one to me. Besides, show me one time gunhunters have asked IDNR for the BOW season to be shortened.

I have to agree with my friend on this fact, if you changed the season it would give deer less pressure, and if deer have less pressure they get bigger, and everyone can agree it's harder to kill a buck in december than in november, and if more bucks servive that'll make hunting better for everyone. This isn't rocket science people.

SO did you find the little ladies deer or not. WHat gives If the truths known, he's probably not even married. I think this guy is Johnstud's brother. Remember him from several years back? I haven't seen so much BS posted here since ol Johnstud was posting. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

FYI, i won't trespass on another property, most of the ground around me is leased, i talked with a leasee of the property the deer went on and the guy said that we couldn't get the deer and i repect that, although it isn't fair since i know the property better than he does, but i was raised to respect other peoples things what ever they are. Now so most of you know i'm not married nor will i ever do that. Now can we all get back on topic here.

unpracticalsportsman: Ever think about hunting-shooting where they are not going to end up on neighbors or leased land??? Seems like this happens to you once or twice a season at least.

Actually may be easier in December when all the November one and done hunters are out of the woods.
