I stick to my old 870 Express with the Remington .665 turkey choke throwing 3" #5 Remington nitro turkey shells and a regular bead sight. Not the tightest pattern or the longest range, but it's killed consistently out to 40 yds. I haven't been able to justify dropping a big wad of money on a gun dedicated to turkey hunting that will only buy me another 10 or so yards of range. I'm with ya hux - my best patterning gun has been a Benelli Nova (since traded) which was great to 35 yards and marginal (7-10 pellets vital) at 40 yards using th Undertaker choke with Winchester SX #5's. I've been contemplating what to do this year (as referenced by my post on the 870?) since I've got a Stoeger M200 going back in for warranty work. So, I pulled my trusty old Mossberg 500A (camo with ported barrel) out and I'll spend a little time patterning her. I think for now she'll be my medicine if she goes good to 35 yards.

Mine is a Mossberg 500, 24" barrel with standard full accuchoke. I shoot Win Super X 3" #5's and can easily shoot them at 35 yds.

Browning Gold, Rhino choke, 3 1/2" 4x5x7 Nitros topped off with a Bushnell Holosight. I have missed inside of 20 yards twice and both times it was actually inside of about 10.

11-87, factory full choke fed with 3" Remington Nitro 5's has been working for me........................but upgrades are in the making! Makeover will include Sureshot camo stock, tighter choke and a red dot or scope. Broke the bank for some Magnum blend shells too.

Great to see so many using muzzle loaders.
antiwheeze, great picture by the stream. It is good to see you have the action locked open too.

Gobblerstopper
Do you have the regular stock on your Browning? I have looked for a thumb hole or the pistol grip for mine and have not ever seen one made for a Browning.

If you call and can't get anyone leave a message. They will call back. Sometime. Best thing to do is print off the order form and mail it in.

I'm still using my 870 20ga. with a gobble stopper choke, and winchester supreme #5's. It has done a fine job at 35 yards for the last 3 years.
