I kind of like going to the check stations, but if going to a Telecheck system will save the INDR as much money as they say it will, I'm for It. That is only if the money saved is going to a useful cause such as new public land acquisitions. There we go Gundude........... All the money saved from telecheck and all the Conservation Officer time saved from running their routes at check stations could be dedicated to getting more habitat and or improving what we have.

Do you mean the sample transpertation tag with the big word sample in the middle of it that wont copy? There is nothing on the DNR site for 09 hunting regs. NO LOG for Telecheck.

Hey jrbhunter, what did the owner of 'Spencer Bait and Tackle' say about tele-check and his store? I know Gene very well. His place is just down the road. I can tell you for a fact that although it is a hassle it is well worth it... Same is true down by Lake Monroe @ Buddy Bills. Iv'e spent many hours at both places and the guys do spend a ton of money while they are there. Of course at Bills place he has a kitchen so the guys always eat while they are there............ I don't see this is the reason NOT to go to telecheck though and as I have said a 100 times I'm on the fence about it. I'll continue to concentrate my efforts in other areas

Hoosier, three more busy signals but I finally got through to Jean. "They're gonna do whatever the hell they want and there ain't no stopping them. They was supposed to test it out last Turkey Season but they didn't! Sure it'll keep folks at home, it might hurt us real bad, who knows?"I asked if he thought hunters checking animals were bringing him business, "Well suuuuurrreee they are!" Asking that question always leaves you looking like a fool for even asking it. LOL! Pretty funny guy, I'd probaby give him the benefit-of-the-doubt and say he's a "Fence Rider" also. He seems pretty laid back and careless: ain't too concerned either way. Gene Arnold is the owner and this is the check station I nomally use to check in both deer and turkey. Nice relaxed atmosphere and the store is well stocked. I will discuss telecheck with him next time I visit. Interesting enough, since the local Wal-Mart stopped selling guns and many hunting assessories, Spencer Bait and Tackle was the only place in town to purchase Turkey ammo and calls.

Last time I drove past Spencer Bait and Tackle, they looked like they had gone out of business. Is that true?
