I can't believe this thing made it 6 pages! Alot of strong feelings about this subject, let's start a crossbow and OBR thread!!!! LOL. Seriously though, it's really a matter of opinion more than morals. As long as it's 100% legal then I say go for it. My boy feels strongly about holding off for a good buck each season but finds thats easier said than done when a buck is in range! I couldn't shoot a deer off my porch, the neighbors would frown on that since I live in town. If you can shoot a deer off your porch and you are fortunate enough to have deer in your backyard then consider yourself lucky. I wonder how many on here who say they disapprove faced with say a 150' or 160' on the last day of gun would still disapprove? If you can say you wouldn't in complete honesty (and not because your wife would kill you) then I salute you because you are stronger than me.

I believe there are at least three of us that wouldn't care if it was a 200 inch buck it would walk. I am fortunate to have deer in my yard a lot. I love watching them when they are here and do not see them as a potential kill.

I've picked up roadkill for meat, so yea I'd kill a deer legally from a porch if I really needed. I just couldn't call it hunting without laughing. Just me and my opinion. Doesn't make it right or wrong.

Are you kidding me? "Huntin from the porch" sounds like a new hunting show. If someone out there was a very smart realtor they'd make this a hunting show.

I have hunted from a treestand in my back yard (woods) 50 yards from my back porch but I wouldn't actually sit on my porch and do it. Wheres the fun in that? If I was hard up for food, I could find much better spots to kill a deer than my back porch.
