Guys..... I've asked Jack for the committee schedule so we can be there in force to fight this again.....only this time we need to be there face to face. I can promise you that Delta Waterfowl will be there to give input, and hopefully the "other" waterfowl group will be there, but I honestly doubt it as they typically do NOT get into battles over hunter rights. Whether you are a member of Delta, DU, Waterfowl USA or not.... we must be there as WATERFOWL HUNTERS to put this to rest again!!! Please spread the word on this. When we get a date the committee meets we need to be there in force!!!!

You know this was probably brought on by the people that live on Geist Reservoir. Money talks!

Actually, I believe it would probably be Pigeons "friends". Travis/Jack, let us know what we can do to help, if we aren't able to attend. If it starts with waterfowl, it will soon spread to other hunting activities....

The easiest way for them to close the St Joe down is to anex all those house's into the city limits.. Maybe we should all push for them to be anexed,, and see how they like them apples??

Don't be fooled about it........ the easiest way for them to close the St. Joe is to lump it into this "populated" area theory and knock down the St. Joe, White, Wabash, Tippy, Big Blue, Eel, Kankakee, Mississinewa, OHIO, et al.. If you hunt any of Indiana's rivers OR creeks you need to help out on this! The forces of evil would rather dump hunting in these rivers all at once rather than dealing with them river by river. This bill would be just like the Marion Co. ban on hunting (since Marion Co. is "heavily populated") only on a statewide level. Today waterfowl, tomorrow deer!!!!!

I remember these people from last year. I e-mailed the representative responsible for introducing a bill in the state legislature as did several others. IIRC, someone received a rather condescending and nasty reply. May a huge gaggle of geese take up residence on his patio deck!

John Collins received a VERY nasty and unprofessional response from Rep. Craig Fry (D). I still can't believe how rude and childish his response was to John's professional letter to him asking him to reconsider his bill proposal. Fry is a thug IMO!!!!!

Step up guys. even if you don't chase waterfowl because YOU ARE NEXT!

Special note: the chairman of this committee is Senator Ryan Mishler (R) Bremen. I think he takes in Elkhart and Kosciusko Counties. You might think of dropping him an email voicing your concerns about this bill. Please be civil!!!! s9@in.govJack
