Thanks for the welcome Guys and Gals, Since it's hunting season. This picture is of a BIG 8 pt. I video-taped. I hope it fuels your fire to get out in the woods. This is a buck that my friends and I watched for 7 years. There have been 5 years of sheds found to him. 4 years of complete sets. This years set was found also ! What do you think he scores ? Hope you enjoyed the pictures ! ;D

I REALLY LIKE big 8s.
My guess would be upper 140s or lower 150s.
A shooter buck for sure.

Hello to all! As a new member of this forum I thought I would briefly introduce myself...I have been an Indiana resident for 10 years (living in various cities), but I grew up in south Texas, where I was exposed to hunting and fishing throughout my childhood. I went to IU Bloomington, where I studied biology, psychology, and chemistry, and I'm now working on my doctorate in clinical psychology in Indianapolis. In my free time (when the coincidence happens that I have free time and it's during a time when the weather is good and I have access to a decent body of water!) I like to fish, and I have fished off and on for a few years. I don't currently hunt, but who knows, things could always change, I guess... ;D I've read this forum for a few months now and have been very interested to learn more about hunting and fishing in Indiana as a member here. I look forward to all that I'm sure I'm going to learn as well as "getting to know" everyone!

Hello everyone, my name is Jon Baute. I am 38 yrs old, and I live on the Southside of Indy. I grew up in Greenwood, IN. I love all the Outdoors has to offer us. I renewed my love of Deer hunting this year, and put plenty of time in the woods, and it paid off tremendously for me, by rewarding me with a nice 8pt. Buck, which happened to be my first Antlered Buck kill. I was really excited when he went down. I hope I have many more successful hunts in the years to come. I will have to say that this site is totally awesome. Woody, you have given us Indiana hunters a great place to come to, and make many new friends. Thanks.

I just found this talk forum....glad to see one from my home state!! Hope y'all don't mind if I drop in now and again to chew the fat.
My real name is Tom Weddle, from Bloomington, but most everyone calls me "Doc." If you look at the cover of the Indiana hunting regs, I'm the ugly feller in the middle.
Turkey hunting is my "thing," but if it walk, crawls, flies, or swims, there's a pretty good chance I'm chasin' it sometime during the year. I'm also a turkeycall maker, specializing in box calls made from old woods salvaged from 19th century homes.

Well, I suppose it's time that I posted here too... Scott S., living in Grovertown. 30 or so miles SW of South Bend. I'm not as old as Woody, but I can barely remember watching President Kennedy get shot..... Spent a couple of years majoring in Wildlife Bio with a minor in Forestry @ Univ. Wi. Stevens Point, then realized that there wasn't hardly enough $$ in it to survive, so I took a job in the Steel Industry in the Windy City. To make a long story short, my parents have a place on Koontz Lake, & my sister lives in Walkerton, so I moved here via San Diego, Ca. Got a bit over 10 acres, deer in the backyard, fish in the pond, and a couple of Field Trial wannabee Springer Spaniels. No wife or kids (with 2 legs that is! ;D ) I hunt & fish when I'm not working on the house or at work. Glad to be here! esshup (English Springer Spaniel "hup" that's {"sit your a$$ down RIGHT NOW"} in Spaniel talk) ;D My first Field Trial dog made me yell that quite a bit!
