Thanks guys. I actually lived in Oceanside, but I wasn't in the Military!
Woody: GD was a good source of Titanium drops, cheap!
I was out there from '87 to '97.

Just joined the site because Woody told me about it. I'm not hunting lately, but enjoy making the guns go bang and hit the spot I want. Began with a Red Ryder in 1950 and hasn't stopped yet! Affiliated with Red Brush Rifle Range, I devote my time to getting the younger generation interested in hunting and shooting. I have known Woody longer than I dare say and have a great respect for him. RMikeM

I've shot at Red Brush before several years back.
They have a great range - even some long distance stuff (500 yards I believe) that a lot of ranges don't have.
They also put on a lot of great shoots.
Good organization.
Welcome Mike.

Hey All! Didn't know that I was supposed to post over here too Been hunting ever since Dad let me tag along on his squirrel hunts back in the 60's and took my first treerat with an old Stevens single shot 410 that I still have and use. I did a short stint in the Marines after high school(and did a lot of growing up), got married at about the same time to my childhood sweetheart, got hitched in the same church that her parents, my parents and a couple of the grandparents were married in. Have two wonder- ful kids(Danf is the older of the two) and right now have two awesome grandkids. Took my first deer about thirty years ago with a Hawkins CVA 50 that I put together from a kit and been smoking'em quite often since then. Work at Purdue -HAIL PURDUE!!-on the Grounds Dept as a Certified Arborist and also got my BS (Landscape Management) from there the same time that Dan got his degree. Still working with the Boy Scouts(Dan is an Eagle Scout) and now am the Advisor for a Venturing Crew(#2348 chartered by the Otterbein United Methodist) that my Daughter joined 5 years ago. Recently completed the BSA National Climbing Director school and am now in the process of getting a Climbing program together in Sagamore Council. Got into turkey hunting about ten years ago and am somewhat a fanatic about it I guess-especially this time of year ;D Went icefishing(MI) for the first time a couple of years and had a blast-just wish it would freeze up around here Enough of my life story -any other Venturing people out there?

Just one correction there, pops. I remember you putting that CVA together, so it wasn't quite 30 years ago! Seems like you had it with us on a trip to STL while you were putting it together, so it was more like 25 years. ;D It has been a while though....
