Interesting on life. I have had White gas AKA Coleman fuel work after several years. In stoves, lanterns and the OEM can. I think the last White gas dad bought was in the early 70's. The pump auto gas doesn't last long but the Rec gas seems to last well.

One of these days I will get a good PCP................. Something along the lines of a Daystate or something similar. I had a nice English PCP in my hands at an auction. No pump, no compressor for it. Getting either was something I did not want to pay for. It was right handed and had a big rollover cheek piece and a beautiful chunk of English Walnut. I think it went for about $200, way under the ones at various sites. The lack of a pump or compressor was the deal breaker.

I pulled the trigger on a Garmin Xero at Triple A in Latto, In. No deal but it is something I wanted. I had read only good reviews and while I would rather have a lower price I decided not to wait. Getting started was easy. Getting the App for my phone was easy. After giving it a full charge I grabbed my Ruger .177 pellet rifle and 2 different tins of pellets. I had a barrel with dots already set up so I followed the set up for a pellet gun on the unit. Just enter the weight of the pellet and it tells where to set the unit from the muzzle. Where the muzzle was looked a little high so I grabbed the water pan from the smoker and set the unit on it. Loaded a Gamo pellet and commenced the smoke test. The first shot was recorded so I continued with 9 more. All recorded. Now for the surprise. I loaded the RWS pellets. They were noticeably easier to seat and very consistent in loading pressure. The GAMOs were hard to seat straight and required more pressure. I was amazed by the results. I was in a hurry to get this done so I just thumped the barrel. I did use the same loading techniques for each round. When I get a chance I will check group size and run a different RWS pellet. I am satisfied, no really happy with the results. Previous use of the shoot overs was not that great. Set up was almost nothing with the Xero. The sun or clouds always messed with them. FYI the shot results were screen shots taken on my phone.

I had a Ruger 2" snubbie in .22 magnum for a while. It was a fun little guy. I tell you this - if a hit from a round didn't stop a man, the heart attack would. The noise was absolutely ear-splitting. I can't imagine what it would be like indoors. At night, the fireball from a shot was something to see. I got to shoot the old AMT 30 Carbine pistol. It reminded me of the old time powder flashes for cameras. The fireball had to be 2 feet in diameter. It was loud even with muffs.

Boy, 2" hail would get ugly real fast! Unless you need a new roof… My sister got a new roof and the aluminium siding replaced last year over in Illinois. Clear blue skys and 61' here in Ari. This time of year that is perfect for breeding bad weather.

I have heard they are a cash cow for good gunsmiths. The closer to hunting season the more they charge to put one back together. They stuff a lot of stuff into a small space. Is this an early one with the internal rotary mag with the round counter or one of the later ones with the detachable mags?
Of course that was long before Al Gore invented the internet and YouTube. They are slick looking rifles. I would not mind one in the 250-3000.
You can do it Larry. I just hope all the parts are there for you.

I think they get the Dingel-Johnson fund money. The old system there was no license required so they got nothing. It is well worth the minimum cost.

I feel so bad for you. Last Thursday my daughter turned 23. Friday was the 4 anniversary of my wife's death. My Grandaughter has her first birthday in a month. So I have the task of helping raise alone. Cancer sucks. You two are in my prayers. Steve

Well the butt stock pad would be a great idea, but I'm not sure how that would work due to the cocking system slips in the top part of the stock. It came with the pull rope as well, but I'm finding it hard to pull the draw string evenly and seems to launch the bolt right or left a tick Is the buttplate removable? Just put in a spacer if it is. I would be contacting Centerpoint. They may have already solved the problem.

If you break the law you should be willing to pay the price. I think the Board of Directors should be held accountable. YOU DO NOT GET MY SYMPATHY NOT MATTER THE ORGANIZATION YOU HEAD UP. Makes no difference whether it is a gun rights org or LBGQ, church, drug peddler WRONG IS WRONG. The fact is WLP gave an anti gun AG an opening an she took it and ran with it. The blame is not on the AG but WLP and the NRA BoD for giving her an opening.
Looking forward the NRA needs to rebuild their Competition and Education side. Make new members aware that by merely joining the NRA by law that money does not go to politics. Politics and legislative issues are handled by the NRA-ILA.
MNRAGA should the doctrine the board lives by. Make National Rifle Association Great Again. Make it great so when they go to visit a legislator he fears upsetting them. Make it Great so local news media has a gun question they seek out the NRA.

It is sunny and 21' in suburban Ari. About an inch of snow fell last night. Just a little breeze. It is a classic winter scene with the snow covered trees and ground. Just a few clouds in the sky.

I remember it was huge at the time. It was a group of amateur players against the best of Russia's equivalent of the NHL. I watched some hockey last weekend. As a kid I was a Ft Wayne Komets fan. I swiped my brother's ear bud for his transistor radio and did some creative wiring so I could turn out the light on the old tube radio turn the speaker off. Wonder I did not fry myself. I listened to the Komet games on WOWO and AFAIK Mom and Dad never knew.

A slip on rubber recoil pad will gain you some length.
Try it and see how it works for you. Unless there is a problem with mounting I would shoot it and get used to the short LOP.
When I made my .54 flintlock I made it with a 12-1/2" LOP. I shot that gun exclusively the first summer I made it with no add ons. When deer season rolled around and heavier clothes were in orger it never bothered me.
