I can't figure it out. I have 4 vehicles and am currently trying to sell 2 of them. I am taking a huge loss on both of them at what I have them listed at been for sale probably 2-3 months each very little traffic. Never had to drop a price so low compared to what I bought them for. Both vehicles I have owned for around 2 years. Both I bought for what I could see as a steal, cheapest I could find anywhere around. Are vehicle sales down, or just everyone buying new, or am I just delusional about what I am seeing as a heck of a deal for a future buyer?
I have them listed on Craigslist, CarGurus, cars and one of them on KBB and Autotrader.
Can't figure it out.

I am. Had an opportunity at a button buck and a little bitty doe but chose to pass on both. Thought this season was going to be great, put in a nice lush food plot and tried to keep pressure down. Last year I saw deer every sit but a few and this year I saw deer fewer times that I didn't last year. Not sure if it was the neighbor getting new duck ponds put in through fall, my new food plot, weather being too warm? Just wasn't seeing the deer. Oh I take it back slightly if I did see deer they were literally 5 feet off of my property line on the neighbors.

Could be be an option. I'm sure they could rekey it. Probably cost more than I paid for the cabinet ha.

I got a used gun cabinet with the wrong key. New it didn't match but figured I could just buy a new lock set. Well the internet and local hardware stores have failed me so far.
Any suggestions on where to look? The cabinet is one of the wooden ones with a flip down area under for ammo and stuff. Need two locks matching keys. The locks appear the same but have different catches. They fasten from the back with two screws and are quarter turn with replaceable catches.
Maybe I can just getaway with the universal threaded barrels and make those work. Anyone done this?

I don't understand how most people don't see this. If you read the news it sounds like the state of Indiana just gave carrier a $7M check to keep the jobs... It happens everyday most times its the state and city that give breaks for them and IMO its a good way to keep jobs. Just think most of the people working there own homes = tax's money for the schools than there's gas tax sales tax sin tax. Just think about all the cars they will buy shopping eating out and most of it at local stores which they pay income tax on the money comes back in short order when you think about it I don't think we are on the same page. I don't think we are disagreeing though. The way the news makes it sound is we are cutting carrier a check for $7M but in actuality over the next 10 years if they would have paid say $50M in taxes it will instead be $43M.

I don't see the 700k per year tax break as a pay-off; it's Carrier's money to begin with, we're just taking less of it, not "giving" them anything. And really, $700k per year is a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of money that Carrier injects into the economy. I don't understand how most people don't see this. If you read the news it sounds like the state of Indiana just gave carrier a $7M check to keep the jobs...

We would just put silicone over the top of it once it was fastened in place kind of like a tape. When I raced we had to safety wire our headers so all of my exhaust bolts were already drilled. If there is a bolt anywhere near it you can just get a washer and drill a hole to tie the safety wire to.

You could always safety wire it or put some silicone on it. That's what I had to do with all the bolts when I raced sport bikes. The silicone does a decent job holding plugs and things in place by but safety wire is probably the most secure. Just make sure the safety wire is on the side pulling the hex tighter and it shouldn't back out.
I would agree to start with a new one though.

Well I missed a few of the last couple posts before buying but I thought I was set on the Ruger american but I went to the gun and knife show here and bought a Mossberg patriot with a dead ringer scope. Scope seems like a cheapo and can't find much if any info on it but overall happy with the gun. Of course I haven't shot it yet so I still need to do that. Looks good and can't wait to send a few down range.
Thanks for all the insight you guys have given me.
Any info on this scope? It's a 3-9x40.

Not sure if it is like the 97 but my f250 had a similar issue. It was throwing my O/D light on. Speed sensor ended up being fine, wiring from speed sensor to gauge was fine it was actually the cluster that had a bad PCB.
On the 97 it goes from VSS to gauge cluster then from gauge cluster to pcm.

I vote for the Savage. Trigger is easy to adjust and doesn't have problems. As for caliber, you are limited to 30 caliber and 6mm. 6mm is a little light for elk, although with the right bullet construction and getting within range it will kill 'em. In .30 cal, I'd go 30-06 vs. .308. More velocity is why, it will allow you to shoot a bit further is all. I'm not a fan of the Ruger triggers, but I suppose they could be worked on by a 'smith, where the Savage is adjustable by the owner. Remington quality has gone down in recent years, and you still have a trigger that needs some work to get it to equal the Savage. Take a look and see if the Axis has a barrel nut. If so, you can change the barrel yourself. Buy another barrel in .308 and you can shoot both cartridges. Try that with a Ruger or a Remington. You really need to forgive my ignorance as I am typically not the most educated person when it comes to guns. I was curious about the ability to change calibers on any of the rifles that have been mentioned. So if I read you correctly the Savage Axis has the ability to shoot either a 30-06 or a .308 by just changing the barrel but the Remington and Ruger do not have that ability? I also heard that the Remington has had quality problems and that the trigger wasn't the best. I always thought they were held in pretty high regard.

Gotcha! Actually the deal I found comes with the Ruger American and a Vortex Crossfire II scope for $469. So I guess not too much of a cheapo scope. I wouldnt really call anything in the vortex line cheap. Lifetime warranty. You break it they buy it. I know lots of guys shooting vortex optics and ive never heard a complaint. Yea, I spoke before I went back and read the description again. It was the Savage with the Bushnell scope, I forgot the American had the Vortex scope.

I purchased the Ruger American 308 win 3 weeks ago and found a china scope for $45. I'm shooting 1.5" circle at 100 yards. The clip holds 4. Good gun for the price. It seems like a good gun. For the price it seems like it is a good mix of quality where it needs it and skimping where they can to make the price point.

Meaning that's what I should get or those are two things people have problems with. Not following you here. For that price range I would get that set up. Honestly id save a little more and get the ruger american with that scope. Gotcha! Actually the deal I found comes with the Ruger American and a Vortex Crossfire II scope for $469. So I guess not too much of a cheapo scope.

I have not looked much into the Trophy Hunter, is it a step up from the Axis? Not necessarily saying the Axis isn't a good gun but have heard there are a lot of little things about it that just leave something to be desired.
