i shoot 150 and a 250 hornady sst with my omega on top of an encore. i doubt that i shoot it past 200, but i shot it at my range at 200 yards and put three right next to each other in the bullseye. so the scope is what they say it is. i didnt think that it would be that accurate using the circles, but it proved me wrong.

I thought these parks were closed during the hunts? this is not in the country and you should see all the house around and in it.

i dont quit hunting till the last day of bow, but for now it will mainly be just weekends instead of going all through the week. my good ole encore is three for three so far through gun season. im going to see if i cant put another notch or two in its belt this year.

looks like they need to put out flyers or something so the locals know that it is going on, but then again they might get some anti hunting protesters out of that.

a buddy of mine that i hunt with was on his way home from work last night and seen 24 does in the same field feeding and not a single buck in sight. this was somewhere around the hancock/hamilton county line.

havent seen anything these first two mornings. besides a tresspasser this morning. i have his stand in the back of my truck going to take it his sisters place in the morning. would keep it but dont want him coming back and stealling my stuff. he said he would take it down just not today. wich i thought was funny cause why not take it down if you are already back here. so i helped him out a little. if he isnt home im am going to leave a nice little note with it or tell whoever is home that just because they live by there they just cant hunt where ever they like without permision.

nine guys seems like alot for an outfitter to take on in three days. most outfitters will not do more than 8 hunters on a six day hunt and some even 4 hunters. were does this hunt take place and who is the outfitter.

im with you. that velvet is pretty deceiving some times, but i still would shoot. What velvet??? It is gone.....has been for a few weeks. 130's I'm shooting! either im just blind, but that rack looks to me light brown and soft like velvet.

What I never understood is by the time you buy 3 or 4 sections of steps AND a lock on stand, you could have bought a real nice Summitt Climber that is easier to carry because it straps to your back. Unless of course your leaving the set up in the woods, but then why not go with a nice ladder stand........same money spent! for all six of my rapid rail sets cost only $210(3 sections in a set). and most of your 20ft ladder stands cost more than that. plus you would have to have one or two other guys with you to help you put it up.

i have a bunch of sets of the steel rapid rails and they work great. they come in sets of three. so i put them up then use 3-4 of those strap on steps to get up there a little higher. for beeing the steel ones they are still really light. you can have a stand set up in about 10-15 minutes.
