You guys have no idea... ETA: They present many opportunities for failure. They are impossible to use for Westerners unless there is a "grunt bar" installed.

Consensus on ARFCOM seems to be that it wouldn't have taken any special talent for him to do what he did, just a lot of cunning and stupidity. 19 year olds seem to have that in spades...

I'm just going to say that there is a ton of crazy in this thread. I'll let our wise membership here figure out where it is.

No story in particular, just that my first trip back to that store since being home I had probably 10 photo opportunities within a 20 foot radius of walking in that would have more than qualified for peopleofwalmart.com

And what is so unusual about coyotes going for the easy meal? Isn't that their whole thing? Isn't that why they are so successful as a species?

If only there were some device or devices available to mankind to rid oneself of such problems. Looks like they are going with the "when seconds count, an officer is just minutes away" mantra. Good for them.

shop.melitta.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=64+007&Cat=That's what I use. Directly from tea kettle into my cup. It makes fantastic coffee, and I don't have to worry about drips unless I pour too much water in. It was also 3 dollars.

Lucky fella...I don't think I would feel comfy with a .357 in brown bear country. 12 gauge + the .357

The first thing that came to my mind was SSK. I bet they've made rings for those before, but for the price I'm sure there are better avenues.

The problems when they were first issued in Vietnam were resolved. There is a thread on Arfcom about this article and it has not stood up very well. Maybe those involved in this story should go investigate the training these soldiers have instead. My Son-In-Law experienced this issue when he went down south to train with the unit he is currently deployed with. Their ability (& knowledge of) with the M4 was pathetic; he spent most of his time working with his squad just so he could trust them to cover his behind and he's just a recently promoted E-5. It's always easier to blame the equipment than spend the time and resources to make someone a shooter. Go stand at 500yds and give someone who can shoot and knows the platform well a good 20" AR with proper ammo and see how you fare. I groaned when I saw the post over there dbd870. In regard to the article in question, I don't think it's anything that can't be solved with a DM or two in each unit possessing a rifle with the stones to harass at distance.

Danf is spot on, lots of native borers as well that don't necessarily affect Ash trees negatively.
