I've always enjoyed lifting weights. It seems like every time I get going good, I get an injury. This time was my hip, and usually my back. But I've learned to work around the ailments now and keep moving by doing something. I used to think if I couldnt train the affected area, no sense in training anything. Nonsense! So now, since the bad hip, I've had to be careful on any movement that hurts. I had to quit squats, deadlifts, and bent over barbell rows. Now learned to use machines with support, and do more isolation movements to train a specific muscle instead of the big compound movements that allow more weigt. Still getting benefits and making good gains, just gotta keep doing it smarter! The hip is about 90% better now, but I couldnt hardly take another hit like that! It hurt! Still got a ways to go, but have came a long ways now. The muscle tone is coming along nicely. My arms, legs, neck, and face look great. Just got the hard to lose middle layer to go. This pic doesnt do me any justice, but heck with it, I'm proud to show off some effort.

I've added about 10# since my lowest point. Clothes fitting great, and pants really loose. So, banking on some muscle gains. Overall, feeling great.
In 2015, I lost my CDL. My neck measured too large, with obesity markers, so that required a sleep study to see if I had sleep apnea. My insurance wouldnt cover it, and I didnt need my CDL for my job, so I let it go. Stupid now looking back.
New company requiring a DOT physical for employment (even tho we've been employees for months now.)
Anyway, I took my DOT physical this morning, and PASSED that sucker!!! I had to declare that I HAD diabetes, and HAD high cholesterol, and then answer a slew of questions about them. That doc was skeptical how I reversed those conditions and wanted proof. I pulled up my last test results on my phone, and he acted dumbfounded. LOL. So, he wants my doc to sign off me not needing meds for those conditions anymore on his own form. So, when that's completed, hopefully I can start moving forward to get my CDL back, maybe.

Good deal. Definitely can’t hurt to have that cdl. Generally true unless your a drinker then for those who have CDLs the legal limit is . 04 percent…which amounts to a Class C infraction in the State of Indiana. This fine-tuned BAC limit generally means that even one drink with dinner can set you up to test over the limit.

Latest bloodwork completed.
A1C now 5.7. HDL went from 38 to 54. LDL elevated at 164, but the carnivore doc I follow says A-OK as long as all other markers are good, and they are!
Looking and feeling better than I could have ever dreamed. Stopped snoring, stopped being tired and falling asleep, stopped having cramps, still NOT using deoderant!
Finally found the path I needed to get AND STAY healthy!

That’s great to hear. I recently asked my doc for blood work because the one I did back in February wasn’t a full panel. Got a full one about three weeks ago and all numbers were good and doc had no complaints. I was curious about the cholesterol and a few other things and once I saw all was good I will continue as I have been.

A lot of people still tell me I'm digging an early grave because bacon, red fatty meat, eggs, butter, lard, and bacon grease are bad for you. As stated many times, look how the older generations ate. They ate all those things and worked hard, and lived long and healthy lives. Mostly thin to med builds, not sick, fat, diseased, or mentally ill. All that is in recent times. And what has changed in those times? Cheap, man made, fake, processed foods! The writing was on the wall for me!

I cant seem to get off it completely yet. Family history, so may be stuck on it. Still got plenty of weight to lose, so should only get better.

I'm finishing off my last allergy singular and will be 100% free. It took me about 3 years taking natural plants, pollen and honey to rid those chemicals.

I eat sensibly, but still enjoy eating what I want most often. I stay away from heavy carbs and sugars. I NEVER drink a soda except for the occasional whiskey flavored with a splash of Coke. I don't eat donuts, deserts, candy, pasta, very little bread, etc. I drink more alcohol than I should, but I value mental health just as much as physical. My job is very demanding and stressful. A few beers after work is my happy place. I'm not proud of it, nor will I apologize. I exercise daily and take the opportunity to do manual labor at work even when not required. I gain the same 10-12 lbs every winter that I lose every summer. It's a fact of life that I have learned to live with. Go have yourself a nice fillet wrapped in bacon and seared in a cast iron skillet of 100% pure butter. That's my Saturday evening favorite. The left over butter and fat are great for frying Sunday morning eggs in.

I been taking multivitamins for many years not sure what I have gained from it but I don’t believe it’s a negative also. I just hope to still be able to accomplish what Woody does every year in the Hunting woods at his age! Inspired….
