Congrats!! Weight loss can be a lifetime struggle. For sure. Once I did a lot of research and reasoning, I figured out what my system responded to. After some trial and error, it has gone very well, and surprisingly easy to maintain.

One thing I have been noticing more and more is... since feeling and looking so much better now, I am seeing the unhealthiness around me in other people. People suffering, obese, tired, grumpy, inflamation, etc. I see them at the gym, pedaling away, walking or running on treadmills, aimlessly exercising on machines, drinking energy drinks and such, yet getting nowhere. All can be changed just by cleaning up their diet and overcoming the junk food mess in todays society. Not even the doctor talks about healing the root cause of the problem, just band aid fix it with meds. Sad story. Why heal the root cause of the problem? Once it's healed they lost a customer.

Yep, swear to the hippocratic oath out of the right side of their mouths, and keep em coming back out of the left side. 🤔

Last week was as crazy and rough as it gets. The news of the sale of my company, uncertainty of their future plans with our shop, typical chaos and zoo I deal with at work daily, the doc appt (although good, still jitters of going), the process of buying the new truck, breakdown of my car and difficulty of getting parts, my mom out of town and taking care of her cat, scheduled exercising, and youth turkey season, I have really had my hands full.
So out of convenience and lack of time, I have been eating a lot of stuff I shouldn't. A bun on the bottom of a burger, couple bites of hash browns, a donut, a couple french fries, etc. Really caught up to me today, feel like crap, dead tired, no desire, everything I had dealt with prior. Biggest and most notable thing, is I have been hungry no matter what for last 4-5 days. I kept eating and eating, and finally admitted defeat. So, with all that behind me, I restarted my diet tonight. I went back to the backbone of what works. I ate and ate and ate all the meat and whole food I could, until it no longer tasted good. Now I'm happy and content, and have no desire to eat anything else. Another day or two and I'll be back on track, eating the one big meal, of satiating food that keeps you full and not craving the goodies.
I just had to admit I fell to the stresses and acknowledge it's a slippery slope if your not careful. Back in the saddle again!

Been a couple weeks of eating normally and I'm back to 110% like before the slip up. Even with all the recent stresses, I seem to be coping with it all pretty well now.
I'm hanging right in there at 71# lost, eating till full every time, and my strength keeps getting better. Getting some very noticable vascularity in my forearms when I'm pumped up at the gym. Able to do 60# hammer curls for a few reps, which is as much as I ever could back in the day. Last year had the reoccurring back pains, this year deadlifting 315#.
What a turn around! I don't/can't do the volume I used to, but my discipline with form and able to read my body with what works has progressed greatly.

Great news, keep up the healthy eating habits! I'm down to 1# less than I was at my lowest last year. Still got a bunch to lose, but I'm on track for this year. It will go faster once I start exercising. I guess picking up 100's of pounds of fish a day isn't enough. LOL

I splurged today and had a major "stuff my face" all day binge. Been needing a "let myself go" enjoyment feast. Lol. Menu...
Out for bfast- biscuits & gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, toast.
Home-BRISKET
Moms- brownie & ice cream
Out for snack- DQ small blizzard
Home- walleye, brisket, eggs
I'm finally done, yet still not full or stuffed by any means. Kinda neat. Calories in a mega surplus to make some more muscles. 💪

So, going off the wagon for that distance, any digestive issues?

So, going off the wagon for that distance, any digestive issues? I fasted the next day, so that helped. I definately have felt wierd a few times when I have off the wall food compared to normal. Unfortunately, my worst enemy is now salad. I love a big salad, but it starts gurgling in my guts and let's me know it within approx 6-12hrs. I have been noticing, when I have a few carbs, slow digesting or low glycemic, my blood sugar goes down pretty substantial for awhile. This morning wife and I went out for bfast, and I ate chunked potatoes with my omelet. My blood sugar went into low 80's a few hours later. Normally in mid to upper 90's to around 100. So I'll keep messing around to see if I can fine tune a little more. Interesting stuff.

That's fantastic! Congrats! Have you felt better? I am feeling incredibly awesome! Biggest thing now is increased stamina. I wake up early, and go to bed late. Once I start my day, its go full throttle until the end. Rarely ever need a nap anymore. If so, it's on the weekend, after going strong all week.

I am grateful to have gotten my real mojo back. I honestly felt like my life was on the down and out and I would never be high and mighty again. Wrong way of thinking! You just have to put your mind to it and believe in yourself. I'm glad to be back on top!

I have been slacking for awhile and maintaining a fairly constant weight for months. Happy about that, since eating a little riskier than I was. So, I've set a new goal, first one since I started. I started at 343# last Aug 15th. I am now at 271#. I'm shooting for 250# on Oct 1st. Then I will strive to maintain that thru hunting season and the holidays. Just turned 49yo and feeling better than ever! Hero shot for fun. No pity necessary. Lol Starting line...
