Very sad to hear about the ones that lost their lives or were hurt during this. Very glad that person was carrying and stopped the shooter before it got worse. Glad we have constitutional carry here now.

Steve Read it on a gun site… his gun is part of the investigation folks are saying.I sure he will be getting back at some point! Some say it protocol to take the gun. Haven’t seen anyone say he broke a law!

I wonder if they provide a "loaner" until they resolve the case? LOL. Seriously, I get that the firearm is evidence and as such may need to be retained and was aware of that policy with most departments. Ludicrous in this case. Just take the serial number, run the check,(samaritan isn't going anywhere) and Greenwood along with Simon Malls reward him a decent sum for doing their jobs for them. Steve

I had an incident in 2014 involving a firearm shooting here in Indianapolis and after the police sorted everything out on the scene, took a couple of hours, I was not charged and left with my pistol in my posession. He did everything right. No tactical training (the news), that man has probably been taught gun safety and been shooting a long time. There are such things as books on tactics. It will be a non-story quickly because they can't spin it.

Just saw on the news where the kid was exercising his permitless carry rights. Yeah…. The same “permitless carry rights”that many LEO fought against!

I knew they could find a way to spin this to fit their agenda. It’s absolutely disgusting what is in that article.

An armed vigilante, indirectly commissioned by the State of Indiana, murdered the suspect----Just saying Steve Legally, according to Article 12 of the Indiana Constitution, he was not an armed vigilante, he was a full fledged member of the Indiana volunteer militia and defended his fellow citizens in a time of need.
