Secret will stay untold. Although we did have a fish fry Saturday night and it was all quite delicious. Catfish, crappie, and wiper.

Here's some from the pond. I had about 1/2 hour Monday evening to fish, so here's what I kept. I released about 1/2 dzn Perch that were larger than this one, up to about 14", a 3# Smallie, 2 Largemouth about 1# each went into the cage, and 3 Hybrid Striped Bass about 6# each went back into the pond. Those deck boards are 1"x6".

What are fish 2 and 4 from the top? Tilapia. Same fish that you buy in the store or get when you go out to eat and order Tilapia. I stock them in peoples ponds to eat Filamentous Algae. They die every Fall when the water temp drops below the low 50°F range. They grow very fast, those fish were roughly 6" long when stocked 2 weeks after Mothers Day weekend. They spawn once a month once water temps are in the upper 70's and also provide a lot of forage fish for any predators in the pond. Bass gorge themselves on the smaller ones in the Fall when they start slowing down due to the colder water temps. With all the fish that are in the pond, I'll only see a few dead ones - the scavengers have a field day eating them. Plus it helps to take nutrients out of the pond when they die and the scavengers eat them.

Was a tough day with the wind. Had to be easy 30mph gusts on the water. The 100# anchor didnt hold at least half the time. First kid up caught a smallmouth. Lol. Then my boy Luke got a crack. He reeled in this scrapper like a champ. 15# steelhead

Thanks. The wind picked up as the day went on. There were white caps by the time we finished. All in all, we had a great time, and are already planning another trip with the same charter.
