Caught 22 bluegills and redears this morning. 22 foot down on a ledge going into deeper water. Gotta go deep once fall hits. Those are 9 to 10 inch redear.

For anybody that is looking to go catch some trout, I brought 500# of rainbows that were running anywhere from 1# to 2# each back from Missouri on Thursday and stocked them in the pond in Dowling Park in Hammond, Indiana on Friday.
You need a fishing license and trout stamp because it's public waters. The other trout that I brought back at the same time that I stocked in other private ponds on Friday started eating fish food last evening, so they will be biting now. They will be in there until they are fished out, or until the water temp hits 70°F in the Spring, which can be anywhere from early May to late June.

Had a hankering for some bluegills. So I did something about it. Boy are they good. Kentucky kernel seasoning and few mins in the fry daddy.

Either December 7th or 14th my younger brother, my son and friends are heading down to my brothers farm to clear the 6 acre lake. All trees/bushes will be cleared along the banks. Over the years it got out of hand. My brother already cleared some of it. Fishing will be a lot better next year!

The lake will live longer too without all the leaves/branches falling into it. 6 acre body of water will take a long time to clean the shoreline up!!

Let’s Go! I can’t wait to try out my new Huminbird Helix 7 and Milwaukee Drill on the ice!!! I need to buy a sled always have to talk my bud Steve into going as he has a sled. Problem is it’s hard to find a used deep snow snowmobile around here everything around here is for trails. Not the best sled for up north you’ll get stuck and it’s a son of gun to get unstuck in three foot of snow believe me I’ve done it a bunch before he bought his bearcat things a beast the track is long and about double normal the skis are wide and sit out more than a normal one it’s slow maybe 50 mph I’ve looked at new ones but have a hard paying that much to ride three times a year

We have a couple sleds up in the UP where we fish. It can be a real bad day if you get them stuck in 2 feet of snow on top of 2 feet of slush. I’ve been there and done that!

My son and I limited on gills and crappie this morning. Threw some gills back that were over 10. Nice!!! The 64°F temps today put an end to any ice on the pond. While it's not 100% ice free, it's closer to being ice free than ice bound. Treetop, I picked up a few left over Christmas Trees this morning too:
