From my pond and I did feed them for several years when I redid the pond. But i haven’t for years now. Pond is now 18 years old. I do put in fathead minnows twice a year.

Caught some nice gills and redears Saturday evening on sponge spiders. Had not used those flies for years! Or any flies for that matter.

That can’t be Monroe. All the walleye left the lake this year.

A good evening. That Miller Light looks a little small. I would have waited until it was at least 16oz

Beautiful evening to be on the lake. Have about an hour to see what’s biting.

Beautiful evening to be on the lake. Have about an hour to see what’s biting. Need a full report. My fishing arm is getting soft! Well pretty dang slow. Had two break lines near the boat and put one crappie in the boat right when we were heading back.

Slow, slow, slow in this heat, as expected. But our boy wanted to fish, so fish we did!
All up here in the NW corner, we hit the St.Joe R in South Bend, St.Joe R in Mishawaka above Twin Branch dam, Michigan City pier on Lake Michigan, Pine lake in LaPorte, and North Chain in LyDick.
Some by boat, some off shore, some half hearted, some serious. I am burnt out from the heat!
We caught fish everywhere, just nothing to speak of other than about 10 crappie right off the bat today, no size tho. That's ok, as junior never faltered or gave up, and has turned the corner this year with enthusiasm for his love of fishing.
We may have the next Bill Dance brewing here. Lol

Thanks. My folks both kept me in the woods and on the water growing up. My turn to pass the baton.
